UNIVERSAL GRAND HELIOS info & FAQ

Hellooo. I was wondering if anyone can help me. We are staying in a standard rom at Helios for 16 nights later this year. (we booked it about a year ago and got a VERY good rate) I know because I have looked since and its THOUSANDS more. Has anyone stayed in a standard room? Did you like it? What was the view like. I have watched LOADS of vlogs on helios but almost al of them are a dark view room. I have to say I a really glad we didnt book a park view as I have seen over and over that people say they can hear the park music and I think this might have driven us mad over the 16 nights! LOl. Any tips or advice would be really appreciated. It's a double queen room that we have booked.

The standard rooms are in the wing closest to the parking structure. If you are on a lower floor, your immediate view could be the parking structure or the hotel entrance, with a pond and the Orlando skyline beyond that.
The rooms on the highest floors are Skyline View or Club Standard View.

This a pool view room from the 7th (or 8th floor 🤔). The standard views see the same skyline with the parking structure below.

Rooms on the higher floors on the standard wing have this view.

I’am trying to plan for Xmas Eve One night stay…booked Cabana Bay interior pool family suite for $315 and called Helios directly today to ask if Heliosor Stella had rollaways .. Apparently Helios does but not Stella Nova .
$35 fee and noted on reservation but not guaranteed but the available rollaways will be assigned according to dates and assigned at check- in .
Plus their 2 queen room was in the $500 range plus all the taxes and fees…
Asking for Florida discount saved about $20 and AP was $25 savings

And take a look at the truly shocking prices at WDW properties for the holidays!

Sorry to insert into your post but didn’t want to start a new thread …

I stayed on Opening Day at Helios and entry level lobby view is incredible.
And rooftop Bar too!
You will have plenty to look at and will probably need to close those curtains at night to rest your eyes and calm your brain … I think you will have a wonderful trip !
You should prepare for meal planning because the selection would get very boring for a 16 night stay…

What dates have you booked? And visiting from a foreign country ?
Just realized this post is for Helios info.

Are you posting on another thread for more trip planning ?

Hey, Yes visiting from the Uk. We are staying the start of September. We get a 14 day park ticket for both Universal and Disney. Although we are moving to Disney after Helios we plan on going to Disney a couple of times while staying at Helios. We also plan on going to Disney Springs a couple of times from Helios for Dinner. City Walk and I drive. We are not hiring a car but happy to use Uber/Lyft to get us around. Were thinking of eating in Epic a couple of times as well. We have a 2 queen room (there are just the 2 of us) We got a really amazing rate as we booked this around a year ago. A friend is joining us and they have also booked a room at Helios.

This will be my 8th trip to Orlando. So was looking for info on Helios but more than happy for any other advice!
