Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular vs Fantasmic!

We will probably have one evening in HS. Two, er, mature women. She's never been to WDW and is not a Star Wars fan. They are both on the calendar for 8 PM.

I've only seen Fantasmic! What would you do?

If you're not a sw fan then i would do fantasmic, it's also the more "Disney" of the 2 shows

I would do Fantasmic. The SW show is images from the movies with some cgi stuff projected onto the theater, with laser lights and a some small pyro set to SW music. It’s really meant for people who are tech geeks and love projection show tech and/or like projection shows and SW. Fantasmic is a classic Disney experience with a talented cast and crew.

I would (and have) choose Fantasmic. It is easier to see with seating. SW fireworks was awesome but a pain to get a good spot. It's not so good if you don't have a decent view. So for newbies I like to choose F!

Im a star wars fan but would say fanstamic would be better for you. You get seats with decent views .at star wars your sitting on ground. Fanstamic normally finishes just as star wars is starting . You wont be able to get a view spot for projections but will be able to see some of the fireworks on the way out

Sitting on the ground? Is there any seating at all? Is the dessert party the best way to get good places to see?

If u are lucky u get to sit on the ground. Generally u are standing for a while. And only a certain section has a good view. Everyone else is obstructed in various ways. I got to see it a few years ago in September when it was dead in the parks. Skipped it the last trip because of the difficulties in getting in the right position.

The show is just projected onto the Chinese theater with the fireworks going off the top of the buildings . So viewing is just from the square in the middle of the park and main street. They put tape on the ground to make paths so people can still get around and staff stand every 10-20 meters to make sure people dont stop in the path areas . Everyone else just sits down on the concrete behind the tape lines first few meters and then stand further back. I think the dessert party has seating where you get food but you still have to stand or sit on ground in the show viewing area.

Ya fantasmic if not a sw fan. Fantasmic is just a great show I feel. We r sw’s fans and this next trip we r only doing fantasmic and our other night at the studio will be for rides. The sw show is good and all but once u have seen it a few times u r good. Well until they add new stuff cause of the final movie coming in December. I’m assuming they will change it a bit then.
But ya do fantasmic like everyone else is saying! I would fast pass it too cause waiting in that line and being in there so early sucks
