Hello
I was watching a telecast of the opening of Star Tours, and at the end of the ceremony, there's 2 people at the end commentating. Are these two people the same as those that host Welcome Home Wednesday? The lady reminds me so much of Dee Vee Cee.... (as a different character of course). I could be wrong...your thoughts?

Here is a link for the telecast

I tried to zip through iot to check, but it was taking too long. We were just there in March and went to Welcome Home Wednedays and Dee Vee Cee was the same cm that played a judge on American Idol the next day, so you're probably right.

I think so. I swear that was DeeVeeCee (or whatever the heck is name is). No offense, but how does Disney keep using her for everything? Ick.

She's the Miracle Whip of cast members. You either love her or hate her. :rotfl2:

She's also co-hosted Star Wars Weekend festivities-- back when the Jedi Academy was a SWW-only affair, and I think they've trotted her out on Marathon Weekend, too. (That's a brutal gig: 4:00 on a Saturday and/or Sunday morning.)

I guess i have always been on the side of liking her. Until today, i've only seen her as Dee Vee Cee. Guess the way i look at it, she's an actress...Some will like her, some won't. Being affiliated with amateur theater over the years, i appreciate most all actors in their profession...not easy to be liked by all.

Over Thanksgiving weekend 2010 I saw her at DHS as one of the street performers. I said something like "Oh you are Miss Dee Vee Cee and she smiled and said "I don't know who you are talking about". She did a good job of staying in character :lmao:

We have some park videos from 2004 made to commemorate the HCOE. The HS park video has a main character who is a 30s-era gossip columnist played by the same actress. Someone who is a "Streetmospheres" fan probably could give you lots more detail about our Deevy.

The Streetmospheres actors rely heavily on exaggerated facial expressions to communicate in the park/stage environment. On video it can easily come across as overacting. Hence, the "Miracle Whip" reaction -- love the analogy!

She's done the parade commentary at the Star Wars Weekend for several years, along with an actor who is formerly of the Adventurers Club.

Probably because Orlando is not exactly the hotbed of performing talent?

I saw her in person at HS (MGM) too. Even in that situation it was overboard and drew attention away from the other actors who were with her. Meh - Guess I'm a mayo person.
