Star Tours 2 Confirmed

I read about this in the Long Beach (CA) Press Telegram back in 1992, believe it would have been associated with the 5th anniversary of its opening. Stuff like this makes the papers in the Los Angeles area due to Disneyland, the Disney headquarters and the entertainment industry being located in the same city. Still waiting.

i would rather see a whole new star wars attraction [maybe a coaster] than update star tours. Frequent parkgoers want an update b/c they've seen it before. But, I remember my friend's first time on the ride and he was totally entranced. A Lucas based land would be a great addition to DHS. Indiana Jones and Star Wars could make a fabulous area.

Well I've been hearing this since the prequels so, but I look forward to a Star Tours Revamp at some point. I once read that they were gonna try and incorporate the prequels, maybe not being a pod racer but flying through tatooine in the middle of a pod race? or the end sequence of Episode 1 with the Anakin blowing up the Trade federation starship or something. The only other fesable thing I could see if they just insert planets, like Kamino or Geonosis, or mustafar.

This might not work at DL since there are only 4 sims, but maybe convert 4 of the 6 at DHS to the new Star Tours 2, and leave two operating the old film, kinda like Orange and Green at Mission:SPACE, only problem I can see with that is the queue is awful small to try and squeeze another line in there.

I agree with the half and half idea, but why all of these ideas based around episode 1? The Phantom Menace was by far, the worst movie in the whole saga. This is a stretch, but I'd like to see something on Mustafar based around the Obi-Wan versus Anakin duel.

Nah. Remember, they re-themed the gift shop from Endor to Tatooine years ago.
