I booked a 1 bedroom today for our trip next month (not the mini suite, the true 1 bedroom). Booked thru II with my moms timeshare. Was just wondering if anyone has stayed there recently? It seems really nice and i read older posts and people have liked it. what is there around to eat? i know there is a Fridays. How is it to get to the parks?
Just wanted to hear some firsthand experiences. The reviews on Tripadvisor seem to be mixed.

The location is near major attractions, but situated on the road in Cecil Lake. you have the opportunity to enjoy nature in the middle of a tourist area! Is large enough to offer a variety of small beach activities, water sports, pool games and music, games room and family night activities. The staff was fabulous. We needed more chairs, bedding or towels, contact us immediately, even at 1am! The reception gave excellent suggestions and guidance, answered all our questions politely! really this is the best resort to stay during the travelling.

I own at Star Island. I've been an owner for the last 15 years. A Friday's is walking distance from the property. They also deliver. There are tons of eateries on 192. You are near two Wal-Marts, a Target and a Publix grocery store.

Directions to Disney:
When you exit the property make a right onto Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy (192). Get into the far left lane to make a left onto SR 535. Stay in the left lane. At about the sixth/seventh traffic light, you will make a left onto SR 536. This road take you directly into Walt Disney World. If you have any other questions, just PM me.

thanks so much, i sent you a pm yesterday lol after searching the boards for past threads...it was about the room refurbs.
im really excited to stay here.
