Standby lines- before and after

As you are calculating how long you wait in line, don't forget that for 4th and subsequent fastpasses, you must now zig (or zag?) to a kiosk where you must now...... wait in line. Outside of the first 30 minutes of the day at DHS, I never waited in line to pull a FP and machines were located at every attraction offering FP.

Are you waiting much in the new kiosk lines? I had a multi-age group (I.e. Slow-moving!) so we did our FPs and everything else we liked with short-to-reasonable waits and our days were filled. We didn't look for 4th Fastpasses. Are you finding long waits to pick a 4th?

The 4th FP+ option was added after our trip last April. But from what I've read, don't bother in DHS and Epcot. I'm planning on trying for a 4th FP in MK for rides like HM or IASW, but only if the SB line is more than 20 minutes. I think the kiosk is only a good option if the SB lines are longer. But I've also read that FP+ for BTMRR, Space, and Splash run out by late morning or early afternoon.

We experienced short waits when we visited a kiosk for a 4th. Definitely less than 15 minutes.

For the kiosks we found, we didn't have long waits. The problem was finding the kiosks in the first place. They weren't marked on the park maps on our trip, and the only signage for them was sandwich boards on the ground - very easy to miss in crowds. The only 2 we used were MK b/w Frontierland/Adventureland - no line at all (but only 3 rides left to choose FP+ for at 4:30 - MK closed at 7), and the TOT kiosk. We were at the TOT kiosk around 3:30, and there was no FP+ left for any of the actual rides (shows, yes, rides no). We didn't see any other ones in DHS just walking around (didn't intentionally look beyond finding that one at TOT).

The only kiosks we ever saw in Epcot were the ones in the middle of Innoventions plaza (which were covered, not in use, every time we were there, even in the morning) and the ones at International Gateway that we only saw on the way out on our last day.

We didn't find any in AK at all. We didn't go looking for them there, but they weren't something that you just noticed walking by either.

Our trips were last August and October. I didn't time the waits at the kiosks, but they weren't long or we wouldn't have gotten fp's.

Just to get some idea, I just checked what was left for today on FP+ and it's after 4 cst- All the mountains at the MK are available. They're out on PPF, SDMT, parade, fireworks- a couple of meet n greets.

I'm quite sure at this time of day HS and Epcot are running low, but the mk looked pretty good.

I've been looking at the Touring Plan Website: Yesterday touring plans predicted MK 7 actual 4; Epcot 7 actual 6; DHS 8 actual 5; AK 8 actual 6. so I think the crowds are a lower than predicted. Lucky you!
MK at 4? Wow, I would so love that next week.

That is so weird because Space Mountain is showing at 105 minutes right now. Why in the world don't more people go to a kiosk and get FP+?

I just checked again, nearly 2 hours later and Space is out ( at least for 4), but the other 2 are still available. That might explain the standby line now.

I can only offer my experience this past November, but we didn't pull a single FP from a kiosk. We didn't book anything past our 3 pre-booked FPs. So for my family anyway, the above isn't (or at least wasn't) a factor. This is pretty consistent with our "pre-FP+ trips". We pulled a few FPs, but our trips weren't dependent on them.

We did rope drop (like always), rode most things as walk-ons or with a really short, manageable wait, used our 3 FPs (if they were necessary, and in some cases they weren't), and had a fine time. I was shocked that I didn't notice a difference, as I read the FP threads religiously and was worried that we were going to have a horrible time - especially since it was Thanksgiving week, and we're used to travelling at low crowd times.

Also, we didn't zig zag, but I suppose that comes from knowing the parks, and good planning. Not that our days were planned to the second or minute, but if I've got a FP for Haunted Mansion in 20 minutes, I know what's around that area to fill up the time. And I didn't book back to back FPs too far away from each other.

I keep looking at the Touring Plans website to see predicted vs actual. I started on Friday 3/6/15 and the predictions have been much higher than the actual crowds. Great news for people who are visiting now.

Wow!! That is ridiculous that they are not marked on the maps. Does anyone know if they are now?

Just leaving after being here 2 weeks. They're aren't going to the kiosk to get FP+ because they are no longer available most days, especially after you use the first three. They 'make' you get three initially whether you want them or not, and must use them or wait until the time is passed before looking for another - then, the headliners are gone.

Didn't look for them on the maps, but they are very easy to find - we had no problems, but only 'once' in 2 weeks were we able to get one FP (headliner) after our initial three.
