STACE Mountain @WL Aug2010 PTR with PICS- Update 7/22!

Mindy-

Never got a new wheel. Never got any money back. But... we do have the strongest forearms in Florida! :rotfl2:

um. I actually considered the bike lock thing. :lmao: thank God for mom's panel daily reads... I now know this is not necessary. Besides, if anyone steals my stroller..........they'll bring it back. (they don't have the forearm strength) :thumbsup2

I bet you can buy a new wheel for it at The Home Depot! They have all kinds of parts. It wouldn't match, but... it would give your arms a break!:rotfl2:

Oh dear...stroller scenerio...one more thing I'd have to worry about when we plan on bringing her! Good grief! You did have my DH smirking with the comment you replied back with. What a way to represent the company and back up the product. WOW. :rotfl:

Thanks Ladies!!

DH thinks we'll be arrested by the Disney police if I let Cameran wear the Scrat-Acorn-Buffet shirt I designed because I used an actual pic of Tusker House, so I'll be "remodelling" that one. :rolleyes1

I don't think its a problem if you took the picture yourself.

I am really enjoying your trip report. We will be at WL 8/4 to 8/15 so maybe we will see you there. It still feels like so far away...

This is so funny! I JUST posted a message to you on the August Thread! :cool1: I hear you about it feeling so far away!! Although, it's the last week of my summer vacation before I go back to work for preplanning, so I'm not rushing it... :thumbsup2

:rotfl: I only posted on the August thread because I had seen your posts on the WL thread and then from there to your PTR and then I saw somebody post they had seen you on the August thread (run-on alert). Must be fate. I know my DD13 would adore your little stitch.

I know, it's hard to keep track of these threads. Sometimes I make a comment on a thread and then can't remember "did I say that already?" On a side note, my DH just said (as I was chuckling over this post) "so when we get to WL are people with lime green Mickey heads going to walk right over to me and say 'hi Mike, how'ya been?'" :lmao: I said "hopefully." :rotfl2:

here we are- me and my little Stitch (AKA Cameran) on Mother's day.
Now, tell me she doesn't look like Stitch!

Sorry... can't do that!! :rotfl2: But she's way cuter than Stitch. I wish we were going to be there at the same time so we could meet you. I feel like I know you already after all these posts! We'll just miss you as we arrive in Melbourne on the 9th and get to Disney on the 11th. Heidi would love her!

Just found this great pre-report.

To funny I bought the same type of coach bag for myself for vacation. Dh comment was you just couldn't have went to walmart. Um NO!

We are also staying at WL and we were originally at POP with a bounceback offer for free dinnig. But once the 40% off room only came out we are headed bact to our favorite place.

Hey there Kelly!

men just don't get the "bag thing." ...and clearly- I have a "bag thing." :rotfl2:
I wasjust informed lastnight that my DH will NOT be carrying the personalized messenger bag because it's PINK. Uh... It's red, isn't it?? :confused3 Anyway, i said nothing, but he knows me too well, so he chimed in with "and don't you dare go buy ANOTHER bag, so I'll have to carry stuff. That's why there are pockets in cargo shorts, dear."

Whatever.

So, I've been looking on ebags.com........... :lmao:

a little off the bag topic.. but I thought of this tip while I was ironing this afternoon. When you pack your DD's clothes, since she is so little, why don't you just pack the clothes that hang on hangers, with the hangers. I do this because DD's clothes are very small. At nearly 8 years old she wears a 4 to 5. The room's closet hangers are too big. There usually isn't enough drawer space for everyone anyway, so its just easier to hang up the tiny clothes.

Great Idea! Will do.
Everytime you tell me how small your DD is, I want to hide in a hole :rotfl2:
Cameran is 20 months old, 35 1/2 inches tall, and weighed in at the ER this weekend at 35 lbs 11oz!!! She's wearing a 3T. My baby's a beast! :rotfl: I'd always dreamed I'd have naturally small children, but with my family history, that would have taken :wizard:

New thought. You've been to rope drop before, right? I've been reading about the "ceremony" aspect of it- sounds neat- but what time should we arrive to see it?? We are doing EMH every day, so park opens for us at 8. Are there two rope drops? One at 8 and one at 9??

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: us at rope drop!!! Never. In all the decades that we've been to Disney, we've never made a rope drop. We do not move very quickly in the morning. That said. We do want to try to make it to rope drop on the morning Friday Aug 13th, that DHS is having Early Magic Hours because that is the 2nd to last day for TSMM before it goes down for rehab for a month. I have been researching this... and my friend Christelle always hits rope drop.. so I've followed her ptr. (which I would give you a link to if I had it open)... but looks like 30-40 minutes before rope drop for resort guests. So, then you must get a bus at least an hour ahead. Check with the front desk at your resort to ask what time the buses to your desired park starts running. Then be there. That's my plan.

oh.. and my little Heidi weighs in at 38.6 pounds and is 45 inches tall (just tall enough for Expedition Everest). She's so tinkerbell sized.

Ok, so I'd have to leave WL at 7am then. But... the boat runs 1/2 hour before park opens, so bus? BOOO! How about if I take the early "breakfast boat" to contenporary an walk to MK?? You think that would work? I should post that same question on the WL Thread, huh? :confused3

If you're going from WL to MK, its so close, that you probably have better options than coming from Pop Century (our August trip) or Saratoga (our Nov trip). I didn't know about the early breakfast boat to the contemp from WL. Nice. That might be a good option for you. If there is a WL thread, that might be the place to ask... or there might be an Early EMH thread. Does WL even have a bus to MK or do you take the monorail? If going to early EMH at EPCOT or DHS, you might want to take the bus.

The breakfast boat idea is great! I am so going to try this since we almost always do RD. There are always buses that go to the parks with pre-RD breakfasts. I think they start at 7. Mascara warning...I always tear up a bit at the MK opening ceremony.
