DH and I honeymooned at Caneel Bay in St. John, USVI in 1998. We are coming up to our 5th anniversary in October. Originally, we had planned to return to Caneel Bay for our fifth, but it is very pricey, and we don't have the funds. Instead, we rented points at BWV, and already have our annual passes to save some $$$.
We plan to return to Caneel Bay for our 10th anniversary, but I really want to get to St. John sooner than five and a half years from now.
Has anyone stayed at any of the inns or villas on St. John? What was the cost? What did you think of the accomidations, and access to the beaches? Did you rent a car for the entire trip? Or did you use only the open air taxi's? Any info on non-resort travel on St. John is greatly appreciated!!!!!
