St John Trunk Bay Beach

Anyone know if you can get from st Thomas, to st John, without taking a shore excursion, do ferries run back/forth? and if so how do you get there, and how much?

Yes! Take the ferry from Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie. You can take a taxi to either location. Then buy ferry tickets and ride over. Then take a taxi to Trunk Bay. You will have no problem finding taxis at any point during this procedure. This way is more affordable than taking the excursion thru Disney.

However, if you get delayed there is no guarantee that the ship will wait. The Disney excursion will make all the arrangements for you with little hassle.

So, you can save money on your own but have a little more hassle. Either way you will love this beach. I keep a picture of it on my refrigerator year round!
