Ok, I'm going nuts! we leave on saturday, and I cant decide....

should we do the St. John Barefoot Catamaran sail ($69), which meets at 7:45, and is 4 - 4.5 hours, or
the Champagne Catamaran sail ($90) which also goes to St. John , meets at 9am, and is 6 hrs long.

originally I though the chamagne one would be nice, but that doesnt leave anytime for anything else in St. Thomas, as we get back on the ship by around 4:30.

we are a couple w/no children. truthfully we dont care too much if we see any of the island, but I thought if we do the barefoot one, we would be finished with that by about 12:30, and still have soe day left.
what is the difference between the two excursions other than the times??????

we really want a nice relaxing and fun time.
so..... which one would be better for us????
thanks!

4 days til sailing on Disneys Magic! :) :) :)

Laura, I've done the Champagne Catamaran sail and in good weather (which we did not have, unfortunately) it would be a wonderful excursion. The main difference between that one and the Barefoot sail is the amount of time you get to snorkel and the food served on the boat. With the Champagne Catamaran you get a full lunch (deli-type stuff) and rum punch and some really bad champagne (it's Andre). ;) On the other excursion no lunch is served.

I like St. Thomas and if you want to shop at all I'd go with the shorter excursion. If you really don't care about shopping or seeing more of the island then the Champagne Catamaran sail is a very relaxing way to spend the day.

Good luck deciding! :)

I think we'll do the champagne catamaran!

Michelle -
can you tell me how long you are on St.John for with both excursions???

thank you! :)

3 days til cruise on Disneys Magic!!! :)

You spend about two hours in St. John (anchored offshore, you can swim to the beach or take the dinghy) on the Champagne Catamaran sail. I'm not positive on the other excursion, but I believe you get about 45 minutes to snorkel on that one.

Have fun! :)

thanks for the quick response Michelle!!!!!!!!! :)

I am going to book the chamagne catamaran !!!
thanks for your help! :)

3 days til Disney Magic!!! :) :) :)

We ( DD15, DH and me) did the champange catamaran last march and loved it. The snorkling was great! My dh and I snorkled, ate and snorkled. DH snorkled ate and kicked back. He doesn't care for salt water or sand and he still loved it. We had while for shoping right by the boat when we got back and it was plenty. Also there are other drink on the boat besides those mention.
