and why?......

I have not stayed at SSR before, so I am not sure of what to expect from it, as we will travel with 6 children I would like a room near to everything (pool, restaurantes, buses,) but there could be better locations, that is why I am asking what is your favorite SSR building and why.

*Please add a post explaining why you voted for determinated building.

TIA

I voted CP because we enjoy walking over to DTD most nights. But you might be better off trying for the Grandstand section. Bus stop, pool and play area also close to the main pool. Would say the Springs but the bus stop might be a problem. Good Luck and enjoy your stay.:goodvibes

You would probably be the happiest at the Springs, though I voted for the Grandstand.

The Springs is full of activity, the main themed pool, eats and the community hall. The evening movies are shown at this pool. Yes, the buses could be a potential problem.

We stayed in the Grandstand section October last year and were in absolutely the farthest building possible. Too far to be comfortable with 6 kids presumably going to the pool by themselves? The only advantage on this particular trip was the fact that this is the first bus stop and we always had a seat. Now, if you could get the building next to the pool, then that would be perfect.

Thanks so much for your replies, I was between both: Grandstand and The Springs by looking at the map, but I don´t understand why buses would be a problem at The Springs, I saw a bus stop near... :confused3

The bus stop is very close. The problem is that there may not be seating available and you may have to stand or wait on the next bus. I don't remember exactly, but I believe the Springs is either the last or next to the last stop before departing to the parks. There are a total of 5 stops with the Grandstand being first, so you always have a seat.

Stay at the Grand Stand if possible, the building that faces the pool. This offers a great pool experience for the kids, a drink station right outside your building, snack bar at the pool, a bar for those too many kids afternoons, laundry facilities if needed, a VERY short walk to the Carriage House for the Artist Pallette, snacks, gifts, and another great pool experience!

DW and I have found each of the areas to be a delight and each has it's own feel and character.

With 6 kids, avoid The Carousel, as it has No pool, NO snacks, NO BAR, and is a long walk to find most of those things.

I also voted for the Grandstand since that is our favorite section. We love the pool, quick walk to the Carriage House & first bus stop. Keep in mind however, that you are talking about sections in your poll & not buildings. Each section has 2 to 5 buildings & they can be quite spread out.

I'm surprised that practically no one voted for the Springs!

The Springs is definitely my favorite section since it's close to everything. We always utilize our refillable mugs and it's such a short walk. We request the Springs everytime we go. I do want to eventually stay at Congress Park to get a view of DTD, but I just don't want to have such a long walk to the main area.

We like the Grandstands when we have small children that like to swim and Congress Park when it's an older group that likes to go to DTD often.
