SSR Spa Info?

Hi We will be staying at SSR next week. Does anyplace/anyone have a list of what is available at the Spa? One thing I am looking for is a place for my 16 year old to get his hair cut. Thanks, Joan

oh how about the main street in the MK - that is fun place for a haircut.

I don't think the SSR has a beauty saloon - GF, Cont, BC/YC and the CSR - do.

If I were you, I'd send your DS to the Main Street Barbershop, while you treat yourself to something really nice at the spa. LOL

Hi Thank You for the SSR link and the listings of places that do cut hair. He has already said no way to the Main Street Barbershop(at 16 years old they are VERY HARD TO PLEASE!)He did however have his very FIRST haircut there!! We will be at SSR for the first 4-nites of our stay in Florida, so that is why I thought it would be easiest to get it cut there.I will probably take him over to the BC/YC salon.If you are wondering why we do not just get it cut BEFORE we go to WDW? He is in Denver on a School sponsered trip this week. He gets home 5pm Sunday night and our plane leaves at 7am Monday morning!And last week he missed his regular cut that was prescheduled because he wanted to fit in Drivers Training before he was gone for 3 weeks. Joan

You can't convince hin to do it by telling him he'll get mouse ears if he's a good boy? (LOL)

I was not questioning why it had to be there. Schedules these days are crazy. Before my WDW/DCL trip in February, I ran out of time to even get my bangs trimmed. Ended up going nuts by day 1. No time at WDW when we were in commando mode. (NO way is 4 days enough!) Anyway, had to get my hair cut on teh cruise (twist my arm). Although, to fit it in, I had to go at some horrible time in the morning! Still an experience I treasure (the view as we docked was amazing).

how about the argument that the resorts are beauty salon while the one on Main Street is a Barbershop.......

Hi, Actually he has his hair cut in a BEAUTY SALON all the time! (he has had it cut by my hair stylist since he was 18 months old,she still remembers when he would only sit on my lap and let her cut it! He swears she is the only one that cuts it just right! Carrie, I hear you about the salon on the cruise,my girlfriend and I got like the first appoinments of the day when we went a few years ago. She had a pedicure and I had a manicure,we were the only two there! And the VIEW is amazing! It is so relaxing to sit there and be pampered with that view! Thanks for all the input! Joan

DH is urging me to take time for myself, during our Aug. trip, & visit the SSR spa. Am I correct that DVC gets a discount?

DVC does get a discount on "select" services. I saw a post about it a while agao. You may want to call to see what services.
