Has anyone been selected to test the bands at SSR in November? Just curious. We will be there late November. Based on some of the threads on the Dis, I would guess their call volume is extremely high based on the number of error messages people are getting and the inability to link tickets. I don't seem them rolling this out to all resorts/reservations for a while.

All resorts are part of the new system as of 10/25. This is a huge project from Disney's perspective. While there have been a couple of major glitches, most are minor and easily fixed. Many of their calls are coming from people who are simply unfamiliar with the system.

It seems that 11/1 is a full resort roll out but it is not a full MM+ roll out as off-site/day guests are not yet included. They are starting to do testing for those guests with CMs so I would expect a full roll out by the first of the year.

As for SSR, you should be able to customize your bands now. If you are within your 60 day window you will also be able to make FP+ selections. They opened everything up to November check ins yesterday.

thanks for posting this. I had wondered why despite staying @ BWV, not selected or able to use FP+. the date your link references starts 10/7 I middle of my stay, might be the reason?

To be eligible for MyMagic+, your check-in date would need to be on or after the start date for that resort.

Do I need to already have my park tickets for each person in my room to get our fast passes. We arrive November 11th. thanks

We are staying at SSR from 11/21-11/27 and were able to book FP+ and customize our magic bands yesterday!

Yes, you need to have valid park admission linked for all persons in order to make FP+ selections.

Link everything....reservations, room &/or dining, park tickets/passes, and credit card with online checkin to MDE, and your MB will work. We stayed at Pop for 1 night in august, but linked our 4 nights at SSR to MDE and the bands we got for pop worked all week at SSR. Even though is says testing, all registers have the mickey pin for the bands, and our bands opened our room door at SSR even though they technically didn't have band testing there yet. The bands work directly with your MDE account, so anything linked to it will be registered to the band.

Ok so I'm at 63 days. Three more and magic bands and FP + should pop up. I have tickets linked to my family but my MIL will be purchasing her tickets at WDW (Florida Resident pass). Will I not be able to include her in our FP + ressies?

You will only be able to make FP+ selections for those that have tickets linked to MDE. For your MIL, once she purchases her pass, she can link that to MDE. Once it's linked you can (subject to availability) copy your FP+ selections to her profile using MDE.

Does anyone know if we SHOULD be able to link mnsshp tickets to our bands as well? I tried and although the MDE system recognized the ticket number as a party ticket, I was unable to link it to a specific person without it bombing.

I don't know how MNSSHP works, but if it's like the christmas party, you won't need FP+. We didn't wait longer than 5 minutes in line for ANY ride during the party. The number of tickets are limited to a fraction of what park capacity is, and many people are into the parades...fireworks...and other events around the parks. If you want to ride space mountain, BTTM, Splash mountain etc, you won't have to wait long at all for any of them....at least that was my experience at Xmas, and I'm assuming the Halloween party is similar.

Disney recommends that you do not link special event tickets to MDE at this time. There is no benefit to do so, and you need to show the actual tickets to get the party wristbands.

We linked our tickets to our magic bands. Walked in and they gave us our bands, we never needed to show the actual ticket (although we did have them with us). Did this last night. They only recommend you don't link your ticket if you have daily tickets because if you enter the party before 7 pm it will use one days admission. We have annual passes and linking the Halloween party tickets to our magic bands worked just fine, we entered around 5:30pm, through specially designated MNSSHP turnstiles.

I am so disappointed. We are arriving next Friday 10/4 to Saratoga Springs so we will not be able to participate in the magic bands and fastpass + because the hotel is not participating until the end of this month. I called to see if there was anything that can be done since we are DVC members but no luck. I wished that they thought about the DVC members when testing this. The MDE rep suggested that I move to another hotel and I told her that it is not possible and that we had this booked 11 months ago.

Has anyone be able to get the magic bands once you arrive there?
