Can anyone give some advice on where to request a studio at SSR? This will be our first stay at this resort.

I just stayed in the Grandstand section and I loved it. It was close to a quiet pool, close the bus stop that picked up and dropped off first and a quick walk to The Carriage House. This is a quick walk to the boat dock for the boat to DTD as well.

If you want to be the first bus stop and close to the main buildings then Grandstand. They have their own pool area.

Springs is the closest to the main buildings, main pools and eating areas along with the boat dock to DTD. Last bus stop to be picked up for theme parks. First if going to DTD.

If you want a view of DTD then Congress Parks offers great views but about a 10 minute walk to SSR main buildings. Closest to DTD if you want to walk there for shopping and eating. They also have a pool area and a hot tub that has a great view of DTD. Second to last bus stop.

I'm a Congress Park girl myself. I love the view of DTD and the walk there by way of the paths. The stroll to the main area is not that far at all. :thumbsup2

We liked the Springs for the location since it was so close to the main pool, dining, etc. With little ones, that made a big difference. The bus situation was a little out-of-hand while I was there in that the buses were sometimes full by the time they got to the Springs and we had to wait for the next bus.

I would ask for 2nd or 3rd floor more then location. If you are on first floor you dont always get a balcony. I had a cement patio with no privacy at all. It was weird being so close to your neighbors. 2 feet at the most. Also people could see in so you always had to have your drapes closed. One time we had a guy just starring in. Creepy.
