Thanks so much!!

Does anyone know if the August schedule will be similar? Movie nights on M,W, and F, etc???

Thanks so much!!!
We'll be there in August and now we're even more excited. We can't wait! :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

Another August Vacationer here. I hoping for some good activities for the kids since I have 4 of them and am going without DH! Oh my!

Where did you find this? Is this available for other hotels?

They gave it to me when I checked in to the resort, and I know they are available at other resorts, because I've gotten them before. This time, I brought it home with me to share it on the board. I'm hoping that I can start a trend! If everyone would do this, just think how easy it would be to plan your trip...

I was there this June, and most everything looks very similar- my schedule was only for the week, and was more specific as far as what the crafts and activities would be (ie, Weds 4:30-5:30 was paint a backpack, 7:15-8:00 was make a beaded key holder for your room). The movie nights were the same as July-MWF, in early June it was Chicken Little, The Emperor's New Groove, and Mulan.

The day we were leaving, with literally 5 minutes to go before the ME came, I realized I had not entered the CH and took photos:

The day's schedule:

Magnets (I think):

Ceramics: ( I REALLY want to do these next time!)

You will have so much fun- we were there having an adult-OMG-no-one's-calling-US-Mommy trip, so we did not participate (saving it for the next time!;) ) but I saw LOTS of great games going on by the pool and in the courtyard outside of it- the water balloon toss took up that WHOLE area, it looked like SO much fun, all ages playing together- we would have joined in if we had not been pressed for time.

Have a blast- it's the happiest place on earth, for cryin' out loud!!!!!!!!

Cool info.. Thanks for posting!:thumbsup2

Dennis-

22 days and counting...THANK YOU!!! What a wonderful idea to help us plan. I'll have to make a note in my planner to bring the schedule home since we'll be there from Aug 2 -10.

Thanks again for the add'l info and the photos!!

The Disney ceramics look great!! Just right for me, considering I'll be on crutches/using a wheelchair this trip!

Thank you!

I'm taking DD9 and her BF9 (boy) on the 22nd for 9 days. Now I can maybe pre-plan some afternoon activities.

Please come back and post what activities you did and how they were!:goodvibes

This is my kids favorite part of SSR! One year they each made an autograph book from craft foam. They used it on the next trip. They cherish those made at SSR more than any of the "official" autograph books that I've spent a small fortune on!

Thanks so much for posting this. We will be there in 2 weeks!!

Thanks for posting this info! :thumbsup2 We will be arriving at SSR on Friday for a weeks stay! :dance3: Joan

Thanks for the post!!!

We are planning our 1st SSR trip this November and didn't realize they had all these activities at the resort. Fun things to do on an "off day"!

I hope others will follow your lead and post the activities for upcoming months!

You will have a GREAT time with the activities at SSR. I had such a great time with the community hall staff (Sundee and the gals are GREAT!). They knew us by name after 1 day and always chatted with us when they saw us. Sundee cruising by on her ECV, saying hi and giving guests a hard time always had us laughing. We even recognized other members because of it and chatted with them more. It definitely made for a homey, family feel. You absolutely have to make time to spend at the pool and CH making crafts. I wish we'd done it sooner in our trip, as we only got 2 days by the pool (which was not enough).

The kids made ceramics and had a blast (they turned out great), we were there for the pool party and I got to judge the air guitar contest. We stayed another night for the movie - it was fun seeing it in the pool!

And if you see Sundee around the pool or Community Hall, tell her Amy the artist (formerly the air guitar judge) said hello!

Sundee used to be a favorite at the campground!

Sundee is a hoot! She hosted the Camp Rock Premiere party at SSR last month. They had a great turn out, we had a great time and I'm not naming any names, but someone I know won the Air Guitar contest that night;)

Kristen is also great! She was on the College Program and then stayed over. She's been there a long time. Tori is another wonderful rec cm. And Luol! They are all really great! SSR really feels like home because they remember you, remember what we like, always encouraging the kids to participate and making them feel special.

We stayed at BCV the first night and really liked the movies on the beach, but being able to sit by/in the pool or in the hot tub and watch a movie was Great! The 13 year old in our group was thrilled to bits about being able to watch Camp Rock and swim at the same time!

Definitely make time to enjoy all the wonderful activities at SSR. When you are tired of ripping and running and ready to really relax, SSR is a wonderful place.

We'll be coming for our first trip 'home' the first week of Nov--does anyone know if the activities still happen even in the 'off' season?
