SSR-is there internet in the rooms

All DVC Resorts have wired high speed internet in the rooms. It is free for members staying on points.

All DVC rooms have internet access in them. They are free for DVC members and $10/day for non members.

Hooked the cable that is in the room, but could not get connected to their network. Called the tech people, they came to villa and said that because my laptop has been used as wireless, the computer doesn't recognize their system

So, it was worthless to bring my laptop. Oh, they suggested that I connect at one of the convention hotels i.e. Coronado Springs

Glad I didn't have to do any work the 10 days we were there

I am a computer professional and that excuse TOTALLY makes NO sense! We have laptops where I work that have wireless capabilities. You can use either or. I have never had a hotel tell me that my laptop couldn't connect to their network. I have had some that will ONLY take wireless and some that will only take cabled but this answer takes the cake... I'm going down in 5 weeks and staying at SSR so I'll check into it. This really confuses me

We were just at SSR 2 weeks ago and brought out MAC Book which is set up for wired/wireless capabilites. Plugged the ethernet cord in and we were on in 1 minute. There is something very lame about the excuse they gave you. I am am IT profesional and most laptops have had wireless/wired capabilites for at least 5 years.

Does your computer have an ethernet connection? If so then it should have worked.

Disable the WiFi connection on the computer and the Ethernet connection should work. I have a old computer and only one connection type will work at a time.
