SSR Internet charge

FYI,

The Dolphin and Swan resorts previously included high-speed Internet in a daily "Resort Fee" of $10 charged to all guests. The Resort Fee was discontinued a month ago. The D&S now charge $10.95 per 24 hour period for Internet access, and $8 per day for health club access (which, incidentally, all WDW resorts provide for free.)

I did a quick scan of all of the Westin resorts in the US and all of them with high-speed Internet are charging guests for the service.

Westin does NOT routinely give free internet to it's membeship members.. It's kind of hit or miss. I think Wyndam does???

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks it should be free. I can stay in a Hampton Inn for less than 100 bucks and get free hi-speed internet. I think Disney and DVC need to get with the times. Some resorts, such as Vero Beach, don't even offer hi-speed.

What's "free," though? It must be paid for somewhere. Either members who use it get charged, or we all pay for it through our dues. With the way it is now, at least only the people who actually use it pay.
