Does the SSR still use paper plates and plastic cutlery in the studios? If so has anyone been able to pursuade them to swop these for real ones? We're going for nearly 3 weeks and I don't really fancy using paper and plastic for that long.

Also, do the studios have coffee machines and kettles?

That's all you get in a studio. Unless you want to purchase these items yourself and bring them with you on future trips.

Or get a one bedroom instead of a studio. Personally, that long in a studio would be twenty nights too many in a studio.

You will have a coffee maker, but no electric kettle. None of the DVC units have electric kettles because we don't use them in the US (except for a few people here and there). In a one bedroom or larger you would get a kettle that you can fill with water and heat up on the stove burner.

We just returned from a 5 night stay in an SSR studio. We had paper plates and bowls and cups. There is a coffee make in the room, but no kettle. the room was beautiful as usual.;)

You can call Mousekeeping and ask for ceramic coffee mugs and real glasses. They will tell you that they are not responsible for the cleanliness, etc., etc. But you will get the mugs and glasses. :)

If you are DVC members and you make an annual trip to Disney, you should look into getting an Owners Locker. Then you could purchase some cheap "real" plates, etc. after you get to Florida, put them in your Owner's Locker when you end your vacation, and you will have them for many trips to come. I love my Owner's Locker!
