SSR Congress Park & Downtown Disney view construction

Starting to narrow down choices and think the walk to Downtown Disney may win us over. However, is the view from Congress Park of the construction at Downtown Disney? Stayed there years ago and we still talk about that beautiful view.

We are going in Aug and requested Congress Park...also curious about the path and/or ability to walk to DD.
