Having not been to SSR since 2004, I was wondering how the boat transportation to DTD is lately. During our first stay we waited for a boat for a long time, the pathway to the boat launch was not marked.

I was just wondering if they have the pathway marked now and are boats running consistently.
We know we can walk to DTD, but we love taking the boat at nighttime with all the lights sparkling on the water.

I just came back from SSR last week. If memory serves me right, I don't think the path is marked and the wait is quite long.

We could have walked back quicker but unfortunately my daughter was feeling ill and wasn't up to walking so we decided to take the boat. To make matters worse we ended up having to walk anyway since we were staying in Congress Park and the boat drops you off on the opposite side of SSR.

The boat to DTD runs between OKW and SSR. The boat is suppose to stop at each resort at the top of the hour for one and bottom of the hour for the other. Unless staying near the Carriage House, (close to the dock) it's easier
to access DTD from Congress Park, the last stop before the Carriage House on all bus routes, and walk from there.
From there it is a 7-10 minute walk depending our your speed.

If choosing the boat, enter the Artist's Pallette and go to Turf Lunge and exit the back of the building and this will lead you to the boat dock.

Enjoy you magical adventure!

Boats run on the hour during day hours then every 1/2 hour after 5 I believe.
