Squid and Cindy...great pics looks like you guys had grea trips!

Happy beleated birthday, John!

Julie, Congrats to you brother in law!!!

Looks like everyone is doing well! We are all enjoying a Saturday off at home doing some cleaning and things we have been putting off!! I have off until Tuesday, I never have 3 days off together unless we are on vacation or its Christmas!!! I'm not too sure what to do with myself! I took Monday off because its Krystina's 12th Birthday! We are going to take her for a nice dinner at this local steak house that she loves! Can't wait! She got the one and only present that she wanted from my mom...Jonas Brother's concert tickets! Now when I ask what she wants, she tells me to meet Nick! I'm like ok, now tell me something that I can buy, or you'll get what I do buy!!!!

We have this new Legoland Discovery Center near us, its actually in Schaumburg near Cindy, and we considered trying it out on Monday, but Krystina wants Dave and Busters, so we will have to agree on something!! Cindy have you been to Legoland Discovery? Just wondering if its worth the $19 for adults and $15 for kids?

Well, my cleaning is summoning me back....Don't really want to get up, but I know it needs to be done! Have a great weekend!

Tina, actually we went on Friday -but it was a daycare outing and they only charged us $6/per person. We arrived at 9:45 (they open at 10) and there was already a line out the door. As we entered into the exhibits, they have the city of Chicago built out of Legos. Then they stop you in their safari (I'm guessing more for crowd control reasons than anything else). The next areas has Star Wars & Harry Potter characters created out of Legos. That's where the dragon ride is - which wasn't scary at all I heard from one of my 3 year olds who was brave enough to go on it. I couldn't as I had the babies and infants aren't allowed.

From there it was upstairs to the lego factory which is really a small room where the kids push a button and "make" a Lego. The 4-D movie is next door and it was cute - similar to those they have at WDW. In their cafe area is where the Lego's are that the kids can play with. I was surprised that it was such a small area. They had tables with Legos on them and had the various sizes, the regular, Duplos and some very large ones around a corner - the size of bricks. The kids made cars which they raced down the tracks they have set up in the room.

By the time we left (12:30ish) it was jammed packed in there and very noisy. Naturally, they have you exit through the store, which makes it so easy to pick up something along the way. As we headed back out into the crazy parking lot, I noticed there was still a line to get in the door.

My personal opinion is that it was worth the $6/per person that I paid. For what is offered there, I'd be hard pressed to pay $15/kids and $18/adults. That's a very expensive outing for a family of 4 or 5. I do know there are discount tickets avalable on the Radio Shopping Network, as someone tried to sell me some.

Walker has asked to go back. But not for the Legoland itself, just to shop in the store.

If you decide to go there, let me know what you think.

:bday: :bday: Happy Birthday, Krystina!! :bday: :bday:

Steve - those pictures are great - what wonderful memories you and Coleen must have from that trip!

Belated wishes for birthdays past - I was out of town enjoying my family on the east coast for a week and was busy, busy having fun!

Now, I'm on babies-watch, seems that the twins may be making an appearance later this month - dd is having to rest more and more and go to the doctor every day for one thing or another.

Steve - great photos of your trip! Your family is adorable - I found myself smiling at each one.

:cake: Happy Birthday Krystina :cake:

Steve, great pictures. Have you started your scrapbook from this trip.

Julie, how did things go for your bil and his becoming a citizen on Friday?

Cool pictures, Steve.

Mary, I can't believe how close to being born your grandbabies are - that sure went fast - at least to me.

Those of you heading out on the repo cruise soon, have fun! If I read it right on the main board, only a couple more days! I bet your excited!

Gail - things went very well for Kevin. My sister said there were over 130 people who received their citizenship on Friday. He should have his passport in 2 weeks :)

Cindy - actually the twins were due late September then they moved up the date since twins are usually born 2 weeks early. Then the drs decided with how big Christopher was that Jen will have them even earlier so we went from Sept 24 to Sept 10 to Sept 4 to maybe, depending on the results of the amniocentesis (sp?) they may come into the world on Aug 26th. The babies were growing really quickly and already are just about 5 lbs. My daughter was diagnosed with genetic diabetes a few weeks ago so she is on a better schedule and eating better. Weird because she didn't gain with the "2" like she did with Christopher and she wasn't diagnosed with any problems that time.
So, as quickly as the time seems to be approaching, my daughter will be relieved when she gives birth - it's getting to be very difficult for her to keep up with Christopher let alone do anything else. She did finally stop working a few weeks ago tho so I am relieved that she is not driving to work twice a week.
But on the flip side, any time we go to the store for her to pick up anything else she thinks she may need, the salespeople at stores come up to her and ask if there's anything they can do to help her. She does look as tho she could deliver tomorrow.
Christopher did get to go into the Ultrasound of the twins today so we could prepare him a little more of what is happening to his mommy. It was so cute! When the tech showed the faces of the twins, Christopher was sitting on his daddy's lap and his daddy told him that was the babies. Without any prompting, Christopher waved and said "hi babies". It was so sweet - I almost cried. Then he grew restless and his grammie (me) took him to her house to play. There was a bunch of measurements, etc to do so I knew he wouldn't last that long.
Thanks for letting me share the excitement that's going on around here. It's like living in a whirlwind of emotions!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes for Krystina! We had a great day, we ended up going to lunch with my sister and then having dinner with my parents...Of course the girls convinced grandma and papa to let them stay the night with them!

How is everyone doing? Things are doing good here, we are getting excited for our cruises! The first 3 night is by ourselves, we had such a good time on the cruise in Februrary by ourselves that we had to go again!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!:thumbsup2

I'm having flashbacks of Dan and his bus!!!! :scared1:

Hope everyone is doing well, we've been really busy. I'm off to Disney this weekend for the big scrapbooking event. I'll try to check in and catch up when I get back, but the whole family is heading back to the World next Thursday to celebrate Emma's birthday! :cool1:

Hey I'm headed to WDW this weekend too ;)

Have a fun scrapbook event girls and be sure and post some pics - like you'll have any time to snap some because I think you'll be very busy!

Update - the babies are still in the incubator and momma is feeling some big time contractions but nothing regular - nothing like her pregnancy with Christopher at all but I keep trying to remind her that she has 2 in there this time.

I just returned from the ER. My 75 y/o father was visiting a friend at the hospital and got very weak. So he ended up in ER where they did a CT scan and found a mass on his brain. The ER Doc seems to think it is a cancerous tumor. It isnt very large and it does not appear to have spread any where else. So if you think of it, say a short prayer for him tonight. I know he will need them and so will we.

Thanks,

Steve
