Cameron is sicker than sick. I'm betting it's that flu that seems to be going around and around. He's insisting that he can go to school - 103 fever and all.

I'm actually surprised it's taken this long to hit our house.
I suspect he's a little concerned because we received a letter around Christmas saying that if he missed anymore days of school, he'd need to have a doctors excuse. Well, with Gary not working and us having only major medical, Gary is going to call the school today to figure out how this can be an excused absence without a doctors note.
If they won't approve it, I'm thinking we're taking him to the cheapest doc-in-the-box we can find. I can see those phone calls now - yes, I'd like to know how much you charge to write a note for school? Nope, you don't really have to see my child, it's just a requirement to satify the school, I'm fairly sure he's going to be fine in a couple of days. And, we could have sent him to school, I'm sure that's how it continues to be spread.

I guess I'm a little bitter, I'd like to be able to be the parent and decide if my child is sick enough to stay home from school without any boundaries.
Now I wonder, who's next to get it?
