Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

Are the initials of the title S. B. M.?

That would be my guess too.

Nice update. Your smurf shirts go well with those bright character backgrounds. Parker looks a little leary, but hopefully it gets better as your trip progresses. My youngest wouldn't have anything to do with the characters until after Chip got through to her at Chef Mickeys, then she was great with them.

Love Test Track! It's even better at night.

Glad to see Parker warmed up with some of the characters. I'm still leary of a few of them! :lmao:

"Goofy can't be a dog. He wears a hat and drives a car." Bonus points if you can tell me what movie that's from. ;)

Parker looks like he handled the characters pretty well! :thumbsup2

I love TT! That's got to be one of my favorite rides in all of WDW.

Poor poncho people...:sad2:

ok Glennbo already guessed but we just watched this Friday night! I love that movie.

Fun pics and good point on the poncho's. Our problem is actually putting them in the backpack so they are handy if it does rain (and not back in the room lol). 6 of them are surprisingly heavy to lug around.

You are going to make us wait on that 11pm learning moment aren't you.

arrgh.

Parker did really well I think!

Me too!

BTW, I love your ticker, those are some of my favorite hotels, WL especially.

aww, thanks! I had fun making the tickers. We haven't stayed at any of them before so we are pretty darn excited about it! Especially WL as it's kind of a last minute change and I've had months to plan for the YC part.

We did spend an afternoon at WL last year, we were at FW Cabins and the pool was closed for remodeling so we had "privileges" at WL and really enjoyed it, definitely my DH"s dream resort.

The kids have no idea about this part of the trip, they think we are at POP. Hopefully the younger ones aren't too disappointed!

WL is AMAZING! It's my favorite resort. I stayed there last year and you're so close to MK but it feels like your tucked away in the woods. It's very peaceful and nice to come back to at the end of a long day. We're staying at Pop this trip but I need to get over to the WL to visit!

I also stayed at HRH last year for a business trip. Loved it! It's gorgeous. Make sure to check out the pay phone area. Lots of memorabilia over there!

umm, is that the movie where he is driving and mickey and donald are in the camper in the back?

it is prob one of my favorite rides there as well, good fun and pretty good in length.

Actually no. It's just a small, normal water smoker. Now my Dad on the ohter hand has one of those smokers you could stuff a cow into. Not that you'd want to, mind you. But you could if need be.
now i have to ask, what is a water smoker? i have seen many of the small smokers that have a little box on the side that you put your wood in and it smokes the meat in the main compartment, but i have never seen or heard of a water smoker.

Aw, Parker did well meeting the characters! I have a feeling he will warm up even more throughout the trip!

Too funny about the poncho story. Sometimes it pays to be patient! :thumbsup2
yep, he did pretty good the rest of the weeke with them, some he was not sure about, or it depended on if he was tired or not. but we did get some really good interaction with them.

yep have to ride out that FL rain it usually ends pretty fast.

still waiting to receive them from Disney. When I do, I'll be the bottleneck in the process.

How do you post your videos so that they appear as a picture like this? I couldn't figure it out when I posted my Yeehaa Bob videos.
i know its a waiting game right now, wasnt trying to rush you...im just excited to get them. but candi still hasnt gotten our photo albums bought yet for the trip, so we got time.:thumbsup2

and the videos, i just uploaded it to the photobucket account, then use the bottom link of the 4 that they give me and paste it in there, and it shows up that way.

they do, i did not really notice that when i looked at it, i mean we planned it taht way because we knew the pictures would turn out good.:rolleyes1:laughing:

it is pretty cool at night, and we might have a night ride a little later on for you.
:thumbsup2

yeah some of them can be a little creepy especially when they make weird gestures to girls, you can tell some of them are checking them out, or just thinking wierd things...have noticed that before, or they tilt there head a certain way that you know what they are looking at.
:sad2:

its those industrial strength ones they sell up there on the west coast to keep you protected from all that rain yo uget there.
:rotfl:

yep making you wait a little more, but trust me its worth it, i think it was a very funny lesson learned moment.
:lmao:

It's from Stand By Me. Great movie! :thumbsup2 I remember the camper cartoon your talking about though, I think I had that on VHS when I was a kid!

It's shaped kind of like R2D2. It has a tray in the bottom that holds the coals, a pan that sits above that which you fill with water and/or beer, then there are two racks above that which you put the meat on. The water helps with temp control and helps keep the meat moist.

I don't LOVE the Jammitors, but seem to catch them every time nonetheless. Kind of a tradition. They ARE pretty good, I'll have to admit! Fun pix!

ahh never heard of it...is it a cartoon movie?

that cartoon was played every day on the cartoon disney channel when we were there, we caught it every night and sometimes during the day as well.

hmmm, sounds pretty cool, now another question comes to mind, do you always use coals for smoking, and do you place the different wood chips on the coals to get that flavor into the meat?

also, do you know where i could look into getting one of those?
:thumbsup2
sounds like a good size one for me, i dont want something that is as big or bigger than my current grill, but i could easily store next to it when not using.

there are a bunch of different "street" shows i wish we would see on our trips, but dont always take the time to stop and listen, i am glad we did they were pretty good, and funny.

I start with charcoal then add wet Mesquite chips about every 20 - 30 min. They sell them pretty much everywhere here. Walmart, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, Academy and lots of local spots.

Nope, it's from the mid-80s. It's a coming of age kind of story and it's based on a Stephen King novel but it's not a horror movie. River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Keifer Sutherland, and Jerry O'Connell are all in it.

Oh, the bottom link! That may be my problem....I don't think I tried that one.

Thanks!

your welcome, hope that works for you next time you try and do a video.

Great pictures! We've never really done that character spot in Epcot. We usually hit those guys during our Chef Mickey's dinner, so we don't need to. But the backdrops and everything make for great pictures!

Everyone always says that the rain only lasts 10 minutes. And sometimes when we're there, it does. But we've also had all-day, forcing cancellation of things rain, too. I remember sitting there in 2007, when I was supposed to be seeing Illuminations for the first time, thinking, "Why won't this rain go away??? They told me it would be gone within a half hour!!" :rotfl: Someday, I'm going to Disney during a time that DOESN'T feature a decent chance of rain every day of my trip!!!
