Will my Sprint PCS phone work at WDW? I have a nationwide calling plan and all calls are local as long as I am on the Sprint PCS network. I tried the Sprint PCS website but it was down.

Any one every use a Sprint PCS cell phone while at WDW?

Thanks!

We've used ours with no real problems. Reception goes in and out sometimes, especially when you are in buildings.

I even used it to make local calls to avoid the .75 fee for using the hotel phone.

We generally had very good luck with our Sprint PCS phones at WDW. We used them extensively on NYE to keep in touch within Epcot.

I had great luck with my PCS phone. The only time I lost reception was inside the game room at the contemporary. Oh and it certain sections of my room. That was a little weird.

Mine works fairly well at WDW for the most part. It tends to cut in and out while inside of some buildings, although I've received calls while inside POC, TOT and RnR  :p ;)

All in all during the entire trip (driving from CT) the ONLY place my phone did not work was in Fredericksburg, VA

that is so weird......I have Sprint PCS too and my phone analog/roamed the whole week I was there in May. All the time. We could not use it because that was expensive !! and drained the battery every day !!! :(

My sprint phone would hardly work at home, I wouldn't expect it to work anywhere else. :(

It wouldn't work inside the hotel room and worked out everywhere else very badly, but it worked.

Hate Sprint - just waiting for the 2 yr contract to expire.

Disney-Kim - my dual mode phone has a setting that I can keep it from going to analog roam. I use that all the time and it will find only digital signals that way. It does use the battery faster because it is looking for service all the time. My DH's phone is pretty old and it wouldn't last a day but mine did.

I got rid of Sprint PCS for 2 reasons:

1. Complete lack of customer service
2. Our phones were almost useless in WDW

We were in WDW in January with extended family. We intended to communicate via cell phone, which worked for everyone except us. Coverage was very hit or miss, with far more misses than hits.

We now have Voicestream, and used in on our June WDW trip. No problems, anywhere within WDW. We drove down and had roaming service in Virginia and North Carolina, but a good strong Voicestream signal everywhere else.

We've always been able to get service even when other family members can't!
