Springtime is the Best Time- Flower & Garden, a taste of Dapper Days and Earth Day -April 2024- Side Trip to Epic Opening Day

Wow! Now that portal is really something incredible!! Jimmy has always been a huge HP fan, so I know he is dying to see the Ministry of Magic. It's such a bummer that this is another Harry Potter attraction that makes people feel sick. I want to try riding once, but I am nervous for sure. It's cool that they let guests walk through even when the ride is down though; a nice option for those who want to experience the themeing but not the attraction itself!

we received a notice that the Battle at the Ministry was down once again, but they were offering tours of the ride.
Well shoot..
But maybe that was for the best, considering what might have happened?
Robin's sister and her husband's name both start with an A. I'm going to start adding a H next to the husband and W next to the wife (Robin's sister) so it won't be so confusing.
Just to be clear... you expect me not to be confused??
AH and Robin were the only ones who were even slightly interested in riding,
Wondered at that at first.
Danielle rode it during one of the cast previews and it made her sick
How susceptible is she to motion sickness?
The entrance portals are so cool. As you enter the portal you do not see the portal area from the entrance, only a small taste.
I really like that. :)
Once you're around the wall you see this, and it's very impressive.

Wow!
We were on a Butterbeer quest and wanted to try the Butter Beer Caramel.
ooooohhhh... how could you not?

Too bad they didn't call them Fesses de Grenouilles.
We saw a few of the French students and what might have been a Newt like character. He was walking around with a suitcase and mumbling to himself.
That's fun. :)
So much to look at.
You're not kidding! Amazing!
The case against Dolores.
Git her
The cats in these pictures moved around and mewed.
The house elf moved and talked helping to entertain everyone.
Did he interact? Or pre-recorded?
The Butterbeer crepes were calling to us.
So many different butterbeer things!

I need to go
We ordered 2 of the crepes and a Creme Brulee. Everything was sooooo good.
mmmmm...

He's going to love it. Has he seen the Fantastic Beast movies too? It really helps to have seen those too for this area.

I was very happy the queue was open for touring. I hate that I haven't done this ride and Forbidden Journey.

I worked best for me.

Just to be clear... you expect me not to be confused??

I have made it completely clear as mud.

How susceptible is she to motion sickness?

Guardians is her favorite ride, but the tea cups and Astro Orbiter get to her. She loved he tea cups when she was little.

Too bad they didn't call them Fesses de Grenouilles.
:rotfl2:Different part of the anatomy.

Did he interact? Or pre-recorded?

Pre-recorded.

Yes you do!

Both of those areas are so cool. I would love to see them in person but, as a fluffy person, I find that Universal is not so friendly when it comes to rides. And I don't know if I can handle paying the money to get in and then not be able to ride, you know?

I do understand that. I have avoided going to Universal for a very long time due to the motion sensitive rides. I do not feel like spending that kind of money for a limited experience. I've gotten to where I'm ok with going, but only every other year or so.

Life Update!

I don't think anyone of us can resist a trip to Disney no matter how short. I know I can't and Food and Wine is calling my name. It's saying 'Vanessa come and eat and drink and see the stuff you missed last trip". Who am I to say no? With that said I'll be heading down in 21 sleeps.

I was really trying to be good and responsible but then Robin called and said she was taking a short trip to take her granddaughter down and invited me. I did say no at first, thinking Dennis would not agree but when I brought it up he said I should go since it was such a short trip. Robin, AW and her granddaughter will start the drive down after school on Tuesday and arrive on Wednesday. I'm flying in on Thursday night, the same flight I took when I went down for Danielle's surgery. I'm really hoping to catch some fireworks from the plane again. Robin and crew will check into AOA, (we have another Cars Suite) on Thursday and hit AK. My personal Uber(Danielle) will pick me up on Thursday night. We'll head to a park on Friday and Saturday and then all drive back together on Sunday.

Danielle will be working so she won't be doing parks with us. We will see her at Epcot while she's working and I'm hoping CMs get unblocked from MK so she can join me to see the new parade. I'm planning on hopping over to MK on Saturday to see the parade I missed in July. I also want to hop to AK at some point to get the AP magnet. Riding Test Track is a must too. I know that's a lot to do in just 2 park days. I'm not driving this time so hopefully I'll get some sleep. We plan on doing Epcot and Studios for our 2 park days. I'll only end up using 1 vacation day.

I don't know. Maybe because it goes faster and it's higher.
Admittedly, I’ve never ridden on it. I didn’t realize it went faster. Obviously I knew it goes higher.

That’s a call you have to answer. ::yes::
With that said I'll be heading down in 21 sleeps.
Not too long!

My Mom is always nervous about this at WDW, too. I found an insta account @dreambigvikki who goes to the various theme parks and demonstrates how she fits or doesn't fit into every attraction. She shares her height, weight and body dimensions freely. My Mom felt SO much more comfortable approaching certain attractions having seen the research Vikki already did. I hope that helps you, too!
