Springbreak 2009

I am in Sacramento as well and ours is the 5th through 12th of April (week preceeding Easter) and unfortunately we DO plan on going that week. Normally I would NEVER go at such a busy time but I PROMISED my youngest a trip during her birthday month (April) and since the kids can't miss a bunch of school that was the only way we could work it. I am anticipating it being packed but we know how to make good use of fast pass and we have been plenty of times before at packed times so we will just grin and bear it.

We are going to DW at Thanksgiving and we have been to DL during Veteran's day weekend when it was literally sold out and also been during Christmas week. So I am used to it unfortunately. I will also be there for the ladies trip in March so hopefully I will at least get to enjoy it NOT so packed at that time at least. :)

Looks like all of Western Washington, including the big 3, Seattle, Everett and Edmonds SD, are all out March 30th-April 3.

I hope that it does not turn out to be bad timing on my part. I wonder @ how many people from the State of Washington, are planning on visiting Disneyland, during their spring break? Not to mention, what simply attendance levels may be from March 30 - April 03.

Gisele, we went on spring break last year, and it was... really, really bad. It was such a contrast when we went two weeks ago, I could hardly believe it was the same park.

There were days when we went to pick up our FPs, like the good little Hydroguy disciples that we are, but the line just to get the FP was 15 minutes! It was insanity. I would never do spring break again.

(Insert fainting emoticon here) I remember having read about your trip experience during spring break. That is why I am kind of worrying about it again. Thank you for the reminder though.
Like I have posted elsewhere, the main reason why I would like to go during that time frame, is because my birthday is on April 03. I remember your saying that your younger brother has the same birthday. Yay for us Aries :) Anyway, I would like to be able to celebrate such, during Disney's "What Will You Celebrate Promotion" However, if I come to the conclusion that it will be the nightmare (more or less) that it was for me, last year (again, made the mistake of going during the week of Easter, never again!) Then I will have to change my time frame.

We're planning on going during AZ's spring break, March 16-20....and it isn't so much the other spring breaker's I'm worried about as the conventioners. Isn't it mid-March when they have the huge cheer competition???:scared:

You know, Liz Taylor, has in the past, rented the entire Disneyland Park.
To have that monetary ability! Priceless! O.K. for a few seconds, I shall day dream about that. Ah......... no lines, maybe even mother nature will cooperate for me!
I can have my own boat, each and every time, and not depart until my booty falls numb, ;) he he, when visiting the saltiest crew that ever set sail for the seven seas. AH....... the Enchanted Tiki Room! Play it again, Sam! (clears throat) a thousand pardons, Jose, play it again, por favor, mi amigo Jose! Then off to meet Master Gracey for high tea! Where upon,if he may be inclined to do so, me the favor at the time, FINALLY! dance in his grand and most splendid ballroom. O.K. I guess I am back. (ugh) Of course, there are other things that I would love to do as well. However, for me those are the big three!

We will be there on the 25th so I am hoping that we just missed all of spring break! It can get pretty crazy!

Avalon I am so happy that this last trip was so much better than your first. I really enjoyed your TR and your daughter is beautiful!

Gisele, my grandfather and best friend, may he rest in peace, has the same birthday as you...so I looked up a few flights and they only seem moderately full from seattle and portland so far. That however can change and perhaps some people haven't purchased airfare yet. Also there seems to be no shortage of nearby hotel rooms available at the moment.

Cheer and dance competition- March 20-22nd. Y'know i wanted that Sat (21st)for an extra day of Fantasmic only and it looks like it'll be down. Oh well, I haven't seen the Electric Parade for forever, hopefully that will be running.

I haven't seen the Electric Parade for forever, hopefully that will be running.

I hope so too. For the last time that I had watched it in person, is when I was a child. Child was a long time ago. ;) he he!

Kickin it up a notch.
Poof! Yesterday, under my user name, business as usual. Today, two tags! he he! Ah.......finally have color under my name, thank you. And if anyone would be so kind as to acquiesce my request for mailing a chocolate caramel apple from Marcelines Confectionery, I will gladly p.m. my mailing address to thee, and with much glee! he he! no, really seriously! :)

Our spring break (Alaska, think most districts here are the same) is the last week of March. It would be nice to know when most people have it---last year we went the third week of March and it was really crowded!

MatSu Borough in Alaska, ours is March 7-15, 2009.

Anyone else have a week off in February?? Spring break in our school division (Alberta) is Feb. 16-20. I know the 1st weekend will be busy with presidents day but hopefully the rest of the week will be ok. I think some school's in California have that week off??? I hope I'm wrong. :)

I believe spring break here in Hawaii is March 16, and boy they do hit Cali, and DL with a vengence. I'm hoping hard that crowds are low to null first week of March. We are there 5-12

Funny, not too many people have the last week in March off like we do.
March 23-27 here in Albuquerque, NM
