Springbreak 2009

I live in So. Cal. and our Spring Break is March 23rd. through April 3rd.

We are thinking of going for Hubby's b-day (since b-days are free in 2009) on April 9th. Hopefully it won't be crowded. :confused3

HM, I wonder how busy DL normally becomes when SO. Ca. has their spring break, I remember 2 years ago, when I went to DL for my birthday, it was spring break, and the crowd level was thank goodness pretty good, but last year,it was spring break and the week of Easter! OMG! NOPE NOT THAT COMBINATION EVER AGAIN, IF I CAN HELP IT!

The ones you have to watch out for is the Anaheim City School District. Their "Single Track" schools are out from April 5 - April 18. The Orange Unified School District (both Multi and Single Track) is out April 5-12. So with the overlap that will be the worst week! Coincidentally those dates are also blocked out on the cheaper annual passes! :thumbsup2

Thank you Sy, :) that is very good to know! I sense the need for Hydroguy to compile a new sticky list, for spring break dates for Dl. which I would think would work out for WDW visits as well.

Does anyone have anymore dates that can be shared for Spring Break times off?

I live in southern Oregon. Our spring break is the second to the last week of March... which I think is the 23-28.

My kids are in the Chandler district in AZ and they are out for two weeks, March 9th-22nd.:cool1: Still trying to decide on the APs. So if we do get them you bet we will be there.:cheer2:

That's the week I'm planning on going. Am I crazy? Probably.

Btw, here in Las Vegas our Spring Break is April 5-12 (i believe)

good thread...looks like we will be avoiding a lot of spring breakers if we go to DL the 1st weekend of march (which isn't blocked off for APs)!

Our is April 5-12 and we are in Northern CA. But we are going March 8-14, so I'm wondering what the crowd levels will be. DL doesn't have their calendar up for that far out, but WDW does and that is the last week of the shorter park hours. So, hopefully that's a good sign that it wont be too crowded until the middle of March.

I believe that is when ours is too. Howdy neighbor!

When is yours (and your location)? How about the local schools to Disneyland? Here in San Antonio they are the 1st week of March! I think that is entirely too early BUT if the rest of the nation is later then that works for us and our trip! :)

Is it ok if we join you? Here in Québec, Canada Spring break is the first full week of March. We will be flying all the way to Dland this year to spend our break with the Mouse and we can't wait!

Looks like we're one of the districts in NorCal to have a later Spring Break. Our Spring break is April 13-17, 2009. Hopefully, not all of San Jose will be at DL that week.

Have fun planning fellow DISer's!
We're in Milpitas, there is only one district here, we are out 4-20-24

Our kid's college spring break (Missouri and Kansas) is March 18-23. We are also attending a large conference at Disneyland at the same time.

Phoenix, AZ - March 16-20

Before reading this, I thought I would be okay going the weekend of April 17-19 for my birthday since most AZ spring breaks are in March...but I guess I was wrong! :sad2:

Ah, I am sure that you will be fine. Just remember to get fast passes, which you can use any time after the window of time that is stamped on it. Also, most definitely arrive at Disneyland, before opening. I finally did the latter, and boy was I glad too. For as crowd levels were picking up a bit, I had already visited my most favorite rides, including the Enchanted Tiki Room. :)
I was already well versed on the subject of fast passes. Ah... I like to wave at everyone while I sail on by through the Indy fast pass line. he he! ;) I don't actually wave, but next time, I might, it sounds like a fun thing to do. A good way to mess with someones head too! Hm, why is that complete stranger waving to me? Weird?........
Now, when it came to arriving before the park opened, it had always been a thought in the past, however, not being a morning person, that never happened. Ha ha! ;) However on this trip (last August) I sure did make it a point to do so, and I am so glad that I managed to get my self out of bed earlier than later in the morning!
