Spring Direct Incentives 2/9-4/27

Really? I wonder why theirs closed so quickly then. We redid our contract with the new incentives on the 11th. It says our closing won't be until mid-March. At least the last I looked. I wonder why ours will take so much longer. We also didn't need a notary for anything.
Didnt you ask to delay closing and spread payments?

Well, I added on and closed earlier this month and just got my gold water bottle & cooling towel in the mail! Also received my Magical Beginnings check earlier this week as well! Just about 20 days from closing on my Riviera FW 49 contract!
That's good to know! I can't wait to get my MB check. Interestingly my guide tried to contact me today and asked if I could finish paying for the last few thousand on my contract since the FY is ending when the previously agreed date to have everything done by was 2/28. I told him no since I'm ramming everything through one credit card and since it's a new card there's a delay between the card being paid off and the credit coming back

I feel like they are going to stop offering any spread out payments real soon. :(

Honestly probably, with them tightening down to 60 days and then to 45 days and now my guide trying to push it faster, I feel like eventually they're going to just switch to direct bank withdrawals eventually 😂

It does save DVC a tiny bit in dues since your first year of dues is pro rated based on when you sign, not when the closing date is. So they may keep a small amount of delayed closing available

There's also the 6 months 0 interest on the Disney cards for it too

I didn't ask for a delayed closing. I did ask to spread payments out since I didn't want to max out my card. First payment went in right away (well, took a day or two to show up on my CC.) Second payment was earlier this week. My last one will go through tomorrow. So maybe after that it will close? I'll have to ask the guide and see maybe. I'd love to have it all just finished up so I can get my MB check.

I was actually surprised when I found out you could use a CC for buying DVC direct points. I had just assumed I'd have to pay it with a wire transfer or something like when I bought resale. So I was pretty excited to get the Disney rewards points for this!

Spreading payments is a delayed closing. It will close soon after your last payment.

My guide just told me the payments can only be spread over 30 days now...seems to be changing rapidly.
That might not be a change. My guide a few weeks ago said that is the default now and that 45 days require approval from two layers of management above her (although also noted that wouldn't be too difficult to get for a cash purchase). Wouldn't be surprised if some guides are just saying, it's 30 days, and won't do anything unless pressed to do more or unless they think it would help secure the deal.

My guide also said 30 days. I asked/assumed 60 days like my previous direct purchases, but she was very insistent that 30 days is it now. This was less than 2 weeks ago.

Also, friendly reminder to those of us using the Chase Disney Visa to get a free 6 month loan. The fine print says 6 months from the original transaction date, which is less than 6 billing cycles later. Even when you see the "interest saving balance" on the 5th credit card statement after your transaction, don't believe it. It's a trap! They want to catch you and charge you interest.
