Spring Break Question

Hi,

Being from Australia I'm not familiar with spring break. Can someone explain to me when it occurs? Does it tie in with Easter? We are thinking of doing WDW in April 2005, since Easter is in March.

Spring Break is a time associated with schools in America. Each school (colleges included) allow for a one week break in the spring. Of course not all schools have them at the same time. In most cases spring breaks start out the second week of March and go through about the third week of April. I haven't seen or heard of any breaks being after that. This time frame usually puts some schools on their spring break during Easter.

WDW is usually more crowded during this time period. The week of Easter, from what I have heard/read, is extremely crowded. Most of our trips have taken place during the "moderate" crowd stages and we have never had any problems. We did however take a trip over a July 4th week and vowed to never do that again. Way too crowded and way too hot.

Hope this helps in some way to answer your question.

The week of Easter is one of the top 3 or so most crowded weeks at Disney. It gets to the point where they do shut the gates in the a.m. due to being at capacity (most particularly MK).
