First off, a little background. On our trip was me, my wife, oldest daughter Emily (who was just three weeks shy of turning 7), youngest daughter Molly (5) and both my parents. The six of us had taken one other cruise two years previous - a four-nighter on the Wonder.

There was no comparison in the two cruises. We pretty much went into that first one blind. We had never cruised before, never visited these boards and did very little research. Obviously, we enjoyed it enough to give it another try, but this latest cruise blew the doors off the first one in terms of overall enjoyment. It was fantastic. I think the extra days and ports helped, but I am convinced that the main reason we had so much more fun was because we did a lot more research and had a better idea of what to expect.

It was a truly great cruise. Probably our best family vacation ever. But, it wasn't perfect either. There were a few blemishes that I'll point out along the way.

High points & low points
HIGH POINT: The kids club. On our first cruise, Emily and Molly did not like going in the club at all. I guess they were just a little too young for it. This time, they LOVED it. Most nights, we had to pull them out of there against their will. There were times when they chose to stay in there during the day, instead of doing something else that I thought they would like much better. The CMs working there always seemed great with all the kids when I went in to pick them up. Emily is much more social than Molly, so she was almost always doing a group activity. Since Molly is more of a loner, I found her doing her own thing a lot. Which is great for her. Once I found her with a CM reading her a story from a book. Molly had just gone up to her and asked to be read to - and she did it. I thought that was pretty awesome and just sort of encapsuled the great job the CMs did. All the little extra goodies they got there were great too. On Pirate Night they painted their faces with skulls and crossbones and fake scars in time to go to dinner. They got the free T-shirts for taking part in the Friendship Rocks show and loved going up on stage in the Walt Disney Theater. Emily won a very nice Oceaneers Club hat playing Disney character bingo. And on the last night they got cool DCL backpacks. Both girls started carrying them to school on the Monday after our cruise.

LOW POINT: The main dining rooms. Ugh. I was NOT impressed with the food on the ship in the main dining rooms. We had late dining and most of the time, the food was just not good. The worst was the Captain's Dinner menu. Three of our four adults ordered the lobster tails and they were terrible! They were tough and flavorless. Luckily that was the one night I ordered a second entree - the seared sesame-crusted tuna, which was basically raw and served cold. I wasn't thrilled with the MDR food on our first Wonder cruise either. I think the problem is that they try to make all this different gormet food for hundreds and hundreds of passengers. I suspect many of the dishes are made way in advance and then reheated. I'm sure many of the items I ordered and didn't care for tasted much better when they were fresh out of the oven or whatever. Like the lobster tails. At the same time, the seared tuna was probably the best thing I got in a MDR because it was something that was meant to be prepared and then served cold. Not all the dining was bad though. We ate at Palo and found the food there very tasty - probably because it was fresh. I also thought the quick service was very good. The pizza at Pinochio's was a favorite for the kids and myself. I really liked the tacos from Plutos. I didn't remember them from our Wonder cruise. I am guessing they were fairly new. Maybe? The chicken strips are always tasty and the food at Goofy's Galley was all good as well. The food at Topsiders for lunch and breakfast was okay. We preferred eating breakfast at Parrot Cay and then just grabbing lunch at the quick service spots - or getting room service.

HIGH POINT: The entertainment. It was great. We loved the three broadway-style shows and three of the four comedians on board were very good. We especially liked Taylor Mason and Freddy Fusion. Taylor Mason did a family show in the Walt Disney Theater that was great and Freddy Fusion's family act in Rockin' Bar D was also excellent. The adults and kids both were very entertained. I had read some bad reviews of Villians Tonight, but I thought it was pretty entertaining. Disney Dreams was also good, even though we had seen it on the Wonder and Twice Charmed was good as well. All the other little events planned around the ship also made for some great entertainment - like the Mickey 200 and Match your Family and the various beer, wine and alcohol tastings.

LOW POINT: The Magic is starting to show its age. The deck chairs and tables (both on deck 9 and deck 4) are all starting to look shabby. Now, they all work perfectly well and are comfortable enough. But, they just look old and worn. I thought various other parts of the ship looked the same. Like the bathrooms in our cabin. And outside Topsider by the restrooms, there was a somewhat strong sewer smell for the entire week. And it seemed like there was a leak in the ceiling outside the aft elevators on Deck 4 that they were working to fix most of the week. I suppose without success since I saw them there several times. Now, none of this was a huge turn-off for us. But, it might be for some people.

Heading to the boat & boarding
We left on Friday, April 1, and drove all the way from Kentucky to Port Canaveral, getting in late at night. We stayed in the Country Inn & Suites after reading so many great things about it on here. I was underwhelmed by it. It was a long drive and we got in well past midnight. We were tired and just checked in and went up to our room - only to find that the air conditioner wasn't working in the bedroom. The living room area with the fold-out coach was very cool, but the bedroom was hot. I tried calling the night desk clerk, but he wasn't any help. Luckily, we were all so tired that we went to sleep without much trouble.

Saturday morning I got up and ran out to the nearest drugstore, a Walgreens, because my dad had forgotten some of his medicine that he would need. The pharmacist there was unbeleivably nice and helpful in getting him the drugs he needed to take on the cruise. That was a good start after the trouble with the AC the night before.

Breakfast at the hotel was fine. Nothing great, but it got the job done. We paid the extra money to leave our car at the CI&S parking lot and take their shuttle to the port. It worked out pretty well. We were assigned a time of 10:30 and left pretty much on time, got to the port a few minutes later and a porter was waiting to help us with our bags.

We were in boarding group No. 8 and the wait to board was much more enjoyable than the one I remember from two years ago. I suppose they have added some extra seating in there because of the Dream. Two years ago, I remember not being able to find a seat and having to sit on the floor while waiting. That wasn't a problem this time at all. There was plenty of seating. We got the girls signed up for the kids club while we waited, got a photo with Captain Mickey and were on board in what seemed like no time.

Once we got on board we were told to go to Topsiders to eat. We really liked Parrot Cay on our Wonder cruise and asked if we could go there. We were told that we could, but we may have to wait for a seat. We didn't. We just walked right in and were shown to a table immediately. The food was good, not great, and we finished and were able to head down to our rooms by about 1:45.

The room
Were were in room 2592 - one of the ones with a large porthole. This was a nice addition from our first cruise, when we had just an inside room. It was nice being able to look out and see if we were still moving or docked. I'd say it's worth the price of the upgrade. We debated whether or not it would be worth it to try a verandah next time we cruise, and decided that the porthole rooms are best for us. I don't think we'd spend enough time on the verandah to justify the extra money, but having the porthole was a nice touch. The main part of the cabin was in good shape. The bathroom was another story, though. As I alluded to earlier, it was in need of some updating. The shower leaked. The grout was old and dirty looking. The toilet was stained. And there was a soft spot in the floor just outside the tub. I swear, when I stepped on it just right, I was afraid my foot would go right through. Now, we're pretty easy-going folks, so it didn't bother us much. I could see some people getting upset about those things though.

Our steward for the week was awesome. I wish I could remember her name. I believe she was from Croatia though. Or some other Slavic, former Soviet bloc country. She did a great job keeping our cabin clean and neat and our ice bucket was always full. She was very friendly without being too friendly.

I thought the location was good for the room. We were between the mid and aft elevators - closer to aft though. We never used them when going up to dinner or the theater though, since it was just one or two flights of stairs up. The only time we used the elevator was when were going up to Deck 9 - and sometimes when we went up to Deck 5 to pick the kids up from the club at night.

This is what I've got for now. I'll try to add a bit more each day until I'm finished. :)

Okay, I've feeling a little inspired tonight, so here's a little more trip report. :)

The First Night

Okay, just a little more family backstory to set this up. We're all from Kentucky. Both Becky and I went to the University of Kentucky. That's where we met. We're big UK basketball fans - like most folks in this state. And on the day we set sail, UK was playing UConn in the Final Four. This was UK's first Final Four in like 13 years, so this was big!!!

When we got to the port terminal and were handed our first Navigators we were thrilled to see that the game would be on Funnel Vision over the Goofy Pool! Only problem, tipoff was at 8:45 and we had late seating for dinner, which started at 8:15. Well, as good UK fans, we sent the womenfolk down to the dining room to take care of it. They did awesome. They sent us our rotational menu (it was for Lumiere's) and let us put in our order then our assistant server (Mihai from Romania) helped them bring it all up to Deck 9 so that we could eat it while watching the game. The food was just okay, but we were very impressed that they were that accommodating.

Over the course of the week we got to know Mihai and our main server Cyprian from India. They did a pretty great job the rest of the week. I'm pretty sure Mihai was fairly new. He wasn't the best at keeping our drinks filled, but he was great with the kids and did some great magic tricks with them. Cyprian was much better at what he did, but seemed to try a little too hard when it came to being nice and whatnot. That was a little annoying, but not too bad.

So, we ate our food and watched the game on the huge screen - with about 50 or so other UK fans. The only thing that would have been better would have been if UK won. The girls stayed in the kids club most of the time. Molly came out for a little while to eat something from quick service, but then went right back after a few minutes. This was the start of their loving the kids club.

Day 2 - Key West

We didn't have any excursions planned for Key West. But Becky and my parents really wanted to ride the trolley around the island, so we did.

Before that, we had a relaxed breakfast. My parents, Becky and Molly all went up and ate at Lumeire's while I stayed with Emily while she slept in. They had been gone about 30-40 minutes when Emily rolled out of bed and she and I went up to Topsiders to grab breakfast. We were done first. Apparently, breakfast in the sit-down restaurants takes a lot longer than going through the buffet.

They weren't letting folks off the ship till after 12:30, so the girls were able to get in a little time in the kids club and then we went swimming while most everyone else was getting off the ship. That worked out well because both pools were nearly empty and we didn't really have any plans for Key West. After an hour or so of swimming, we went down to the room and got dressed and left the boat.

There was a booth just at the end of the pier selling the trolley tickets we wanted. We were able to get them and head straight for the trolley. It was a pretty neat way to see the island. They drive you all around and the driver/guide points out all the landmarks and gives a nice history of the island. There's about a dozen or so stops and you can get off at any of them and then get back on. Another trolley comes by every half hour or so.

The first stop we got off at was in one of the main shopping stretches of Duvall Street. We are all big Jimmy Buffett fans and just had to see the original Margaritaville. After buying a few T-shirts, hats and whatnot (including a souvenir margarita glass for Becky - complete with frozen margarita) we walked down the street a bit more before getting back on the trolley. It took us by Ernest Hemmingway's home and a few other historic sites before we got off again and walked down to the Southernmost Point in the USA for the ultimate tourist photo op. We got there around 3 or so and there was a short line. We were expecting this as we were told there's pretty much always a line at the spot. Between the trolley stop and the Southernmost Point, we stopped in at a nice little ice cream shop and got some for the girls. Photo op complete, we got back on the trolley and finished the tour where we started near the point.

From there, we walked around a bit more. Becky bought a slice of chocolate covered frozen Key Lime Pie - the local delicacy - and then stopped in the Key West Toy Factory before heading back to the boat. If you have young kids, this place is a must. It's on the top floor of a small indoor shopping mall. They give out free balloons to all the kids and have lots of unique and interesting toys. Then it was back on the ship to get ready for the Welcome Aboard show and dinner.

The Welcome Aboard show was good. It had two or three musical numbers to give you an idea of what the broadway type shows are like and then the first two comedians performed. They were both very good and seeing them that first night really made us want to go to their other shows.

We then had the show dinner in Animator's Palate, which was okay. The girls took advantage of the "dine and play" option happily. This is where the servers take the kids order early and get their food out quickly, then the CMs come down from the kids club and collect them and take them off to play while the adults get to enjoy the rest of dinner. Cyprian was great at making sure the kids got their food in plenty of time to make it to the kids club - and Emily and Molly were always really glad to get to go do that.

Day 3 - Hectic Day at Sea
Okay, I need to back up a little bit at this point. Soon after boarding the ship the first day, I went by guest services on Deck 3 and signed up for a few things. The first was getting all the females (Becky, Emily, Molly and my mom) tickets for the Tea with Alice. It's free, but you have to go by GS and get a ticket as there is limited seating. And it's only available on sea days - which for us was Monday and Thursday. So, I signed them up for the Monday Tea with Alice and also signed Becky and I up for the beer, wine and tequila tastings. The beer was going to be on Thursday and the wine and tequila were on Monday.

So on Monday, we started the day with our Character breakfast in Parrot Cay. The girls loved seeing Minnie and Mickey, Chip and Dale, Pluto and Goofy. Toward the end of breakfast, the waiters took extra napkins and folded them into funny hats for everyone.

After breakfast, Molly wanted to go to the kids club and Emily wanted to go to the Princess Gathering in the main lobby. While Becky got everything ready, I grabbed a spot near the front of the line and started waiting. The gathering was at 11:30 and when I got in line around 11 there was only 4-5 families ahead of me. Emily and Becky showed up maybe 10 minutes later and Emily immediately struck up a friendship with a little girl her age right behind us in line. They wound up being little buddies the remainder of the cruise and it was really cute to see them together. About 10 minutes before it was scheduled to start, I went up to get Molly from the club, because I knew she'd want to meet all the princesses too. Well, she was having too much fun and would NOT leave. They had just started doing their "Mousketeer Training" and Mickey was going to show up at the end to see if they were ready to be Mousketeers. And she didn't want to miss that.

So, I left her and went down to take pics of Emily with all the princesses. There were five on our cruise - Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Tiana, Snow White and Cinderella. I think on our Wonder cruise two years ago it was the same, except there was no Tiana. I'm thinking there was an Ariel instead, but I might be mistaken.

Anyway, after both girls made it through the line, Emily and new friend Amber went into the club together and Becky and I headed down to the wine tasting. It was fun. They had two reds, two whites and a sparkling win. They were all pretty good and the short seminar about wine was fun and informational.

We grabbed lunch at Topsiders and then went to the 3 p.m. tequila tasting. I thought it was the best of the three tastings we attended. We got to try three tequilas (Patron Silver, Patron Respado, and Herradura Anejo) and two margaritas - lime and strawberry. I had never been much of a tequila drinker before, but I enjoyed it so much I wound up buying three bottles of the Herradura Anejo at the duty free shop in Cozumel later in the week.

Becky then went straight to the Tea with Alice and I just took the time to relax a bit. By the time that was over, it was pretty much time to get ready for the show and the formal night dinner. The show was Taylor Mason doing a long family-friendly set in the Walt Disney Theater. Everyone loved him and he especially cracked Emily up. I swear I've never seen her laugh that hard ever. Afterwards we just walked around a bit and then went to the Prince & Princess Dinner in Parrot Cay. After dinner while the girls were in the club, we went down and checked out Freddy Fusion's adult show, which was very funny. We then picked up the girls and got ready for our big day in Grand Cayman....

Our steward for the week was awesome. I wish I could remember her name. I believe she was from Croatia though. Or some other Slavic, former Soviet bloc country. She did a great job keeping our cabin clean and neat and our ice bucket was always full. She was very friendly without being too friendly.

I bet her name was Nicol from Romania, as we were in 2586 the week before you, just four doors away from 2592. We really liked Nicol too.

That was her! I don't think she was from Romania though. Our assistant server was from Romania, and if they were both from the same place, I'd remember that.

Anyway, here is my latest addition:

Day 4 - A Pirate's Life at Grand Cayman
One of the drawbacks with having late dining was that the girls did not get into bed until 11:30 p.m. or later. Several nights it took Emily a little while to wind down even though she was exhausted. So, that meant sleeping in most mornings more than I would have liked. That's okay though, because I would still get up early and just head up to Deck 4 to drink coffee and read my Nook.

For our day at Grand Cayman, we booked the Pirate Encounter through DCL. Originally, we were scheduled for the morning session, which starte at 10:30 (I think), but we changed it at the last minute to the 12:30 session. That worked out great since it would have been a huge rush in the morning and the girls just weren't up for that after a long night on Monday.

We started with breakfast in Parrot Cay without my parents. They had an early tour of the island and turtle farm (also booked through DCL) so they had to be up quite a bit before us to eat and get on the tender boat. After a nice, leisurely breakfast we took our time before heading up to the Buena Vista Theater to wait to board a tender boat. The wait wasn't bad at all - maybe 10 minutes - and we were on our way to the island. We wound up getting to the dock around 10 or so. We checked out a few of the shops by the dock, took a few pictures and then headed down the street to the Margaritaville there.

That worked out perfectly! The Margaritaville in Grand Cayman has a very nice pool with a really cool waterslide. I suppose you're supposed to actually buy something to use it, but they didn't seem to be paying any attention at all to who used it. Since it was still kinda early, Becky and I were able to get a table under an umbrella right by the pool. There was only a couple other kids using it and our girls wound up swimming there and having a great time for about 1.5-2 hours. Around 11:30 or so the place started filling up and there was a DJ that started really getting a party atmostphere started - leading games and cheers and giving away free shots of tequila and beers. We just hung out at our table. I had a few local beers (they had three on tap, I stuck with Cay Brew, which was okay - not all that different from Corona or Red Stripe) and Becky had a couple frozen Margaritas, including another souvenir glass. One thing about it though - that place is EXPENSIVE. I guess because of the exchange rate. The margarita and souvenir glass was $20. The refill was $14. A 12 ounce draft beer was $8. But, Emily and Molly loved swimming there and going down the slide. It was a nice change for them after having to deal with the ultra-crowded pools on the ship because hardly anyone used them the whole time we were there.

A little after noon, we headed back to the pier to meet up for the Pirate Excursion. On the way we passed a guy selling fresh coconuts. We got one for the girls to try with a pair of straws. They didn't really care for the coconut milk, but it was a neat experience for them and we got a neat photo out of it with them both drinking from it with their two straws.

Once we got checked in for our Pirate Encounter, we were led back down the main street, maybe 3-5 blocks, down to a small pier. We waited a few minutes and were picked up by a very rickety-looking tender ship that took us out to the all-wooden Valhalla pirate ship. The ship was very cool looking. It was manned by 4-5 "Pirates" - most of whom were in costume, but at least one pirate wench was just in normal street clothes. After explaining all the rules, they took us on a short trip around the Magic. A few people were out on deck or verandahs and the Pirates playfully heckled them with the use of a loudspeaker, telling them to "Surrender the booty or prepare to be sunk." They heckled some of the DCL crew, telling them to start working on a "real ship." and stuff like that. At one point, they fired a small cannon at the Magic. The Valhalla cruised up the coast a bit with the Pirates telling pirate jokes and enteracting with the folks on board. The ship then anchored a little near the Magic and the Pirates had all the kids come down to the bottom deck and had them all swear to be true pirates, which was cute. Then they handed out brushes of various sizes (including a few toothbrushes) and told them to swab the deck, while dousing them with seawater.

They then brought down one of the parents and tied him up and doused him with ice water. The kids all had a blast. Then they started serving drinks, which were included in the price of the excursion. There were soft drinks, water, "pirate punch" for kids and rum punch for adults. I had one rum punch - and it didn't have much of a "punch." I think it would have taken a lot of those to actually get someone drunk, which was probably a good thing.

At that point, they told us that we could go swimming by either walking off the plank on the bottom deck or jumping off the rail on the top deck. You could jump from either side of the ship and there was ladders you could just climb down if you weren't up for jumping. The lower plank was maybe 6 feet or so above the water. The rail from the top deck was probably 15-18 feet above the water. Emily and I jumped off the top deck a few times and did the plank once. Molly and Becky climbed down the ladder, since Molly isn't nearly the daredevil her sister is. She didn't like the salt water much, and didn't spend too long in the water. Once you were in the water, there was a fairly strong current, so it was a good workout just to swim to the ladder. Emily is a very good swimmer for her age, but I had to help her a little bit because of the current.

They continued to serve drinks during the swimming time for anyone that wanted it. After probably 45-60 minutes, everyone was pretty much done swimming and the rickety tender ship came back and got us and took us back to the island. Overall, I thought this was a great excursion. It was fairly short (just 2 hours or so), but if it had been much longer I think it would have gotten boring. Both girls loved it, even though they were not really into pirates much. I would imagine a kid who likes pirates would REALLY love this excursion.

It was close to 3 when we got back to the pier. We walked straight onto the tender ship and were taken back to the Magic. At this point, I was tired out from swimming against those strong currents and thirsty. I guess I should have had another rum punch on the pirate ship. As we walked past a couple of cruise lines on shore, I noticed they were handing out cups of cold lemonade to their guests. But we got no such refreshment from DCL. That bugged me a little bit, but luckily we didn't have to wait for our tender ship.

Once we were back onboard, we ordered some room service, got cleaned up and the girls napped a bit before going up to the show for the evening. That night it was Twice Charmed, a broadway-style show based on Cinderella. I normally don't care for musicals, but I liked all three of the ones on the ship. Twice Charmed had the best overall story of the three, I thought, but the music wasn't as good. The costumes were great and so were the sets. Both girls were very entertained by it.

Afterwards, we went down to Rockin' Bar D to see Freddy Fusion's family show. It was great. The kids loved it - especially when they got to sit right down front on the dance floor. I wish the other performers did this as well, but this was the only family show that allowed that. Then it was up to dinner. The girls went with their grandparents to Parrot Cay for the rotational menu, but Becky and I had Palo reservations for the night.

I wasn't sure if it would be worth it, but it surely was. The food in Palo is the best on the ship - by far. I had the grilled shrimp appetizer, arrabatia penne pasta with shrimp and the tuna. It was all fabulous! The tuna was grilled to order. I had mine medium rare and it was perfect! Becky had the fillet and was very happy with it. We both had the chocolate souflet for desert and it was exceptional. It was a super relaxing, quiet atmosphere. That was a great break from the very noisy, busy main dining rooms.

When we finished dinner, we walked around the ship a bit, went down to our room and changed into comfy clothes and then went up to drag the girls out of the kids club. I swear, they never wanted to leave that place.

We tried to get in bed a littler early (didn't really happen) because the next day we had big plans in Cozumel....

Here's the latest. I feel like I am being too wordy with these. Oh well.

Also, if anyone is interested, we have pictures of most of the things we did as well as all our Navigators we could add.

Day 5 - Cozumel: Two words "Nachi Cocum"
I have no idea what Nachi Cocum actually means, but it's paradise. It's a private beach resort on Cozumel that we booked on our own. I was a little leery of getting a non-DCL excursion, but I am glad we did.

Our day started with a quick breakfast at Parrot Cay and then we got off the boat, walked down the pier and across the street and straight into a waiting taxi van. About 15 minutes (and $32 for cab fare) later, we were pulling into a secluded little spot on the beach. Now, let me say, the outside of Nachi Cocum looks like a coplete dump. But, I had read this in various other reviews of the place so I wasn't worried.

We had paid our deposit on line because their website claims that they only allow spots 100 adults each day. Well, when we got there, a family found this out the hard way. They were trying to buy their way into the resort, but the staff wasn't having it, because they were full. They held us up from our check in a little, but eventually were told they could sit and wait and if a family didn't show up, they could then have a spot.

Once we got checked in, it was perfect. Nachi Cocum has a good sized swimming pool, with swim-up bar, but we were led to the beach first and our own private palapa with four chairs - one for each of the adults. The waiter then took our drink orders and we were free to do whatever.

We rented a couple of floats and the girls had a blast digging in the sand and swimming in the perfectly blue water. The waiter came back with our drinks and it was perfect. For $49 per adult and $18 (I think) per child, this place is a GREAT deal. All drinks (including unlimited beer and mixed drinks for adults and smoothies for kids) are included and so is food. I tried a margarita first. It was okay, but after that I stuck with beer. My dad was a little bummed because they only had Mexican beers, but that suited me and Becky just fine. I stuck with Pacificos and Becky had Coronas. I think they also had Modelo, Dos Equis and maybe one other beer to choose from.

After an hour or so, I order a plate of chips with salsa nd guacamole. It was great, but the salsa (which was more like pico) was really, REALLY spicy. That's good, because I like hot food, but I was the only one in my family able to eat it. They had a good lunch menu with plenty of American and Mexican fare. I had fish tacos that were great. Becky had a big plate of Nachos. Emily loved the chicken quesadillas and Molly loved the cheese sticks. My dad had the grilled fish fillet. He didn't care for it - but he's kinda picky.

After spending most of the day down at the beach, we eventually made our way up to the pool area around 2 or 3 p.m. We drank beers in the pool at the swim up bar, chatted with folks from other cruise ships and watched the girls play with some of the other kids about their age in the pool. It was a great relaxing day.

When we were ready to leave, our waiter called a taxi for us. We got a couple extra bottled waters to take with us on the road back and was back at the port in a matter of minutes.

Becky wanted to visit the Margaritaville in Cazumel to buy another different souvenir glass, so she walked a couple blocks down to it while I bought three bottle of tequila in the duty free shop at the port. The only bad thing about Cozumel was that there was a problem at Margaritaville. In the gift shop, they said you had to first buy a margarita at the bar and bring a ticket to the gift shop for the souvenir glass. Becky just wanted to buy the glass, but they wouldn't sell it to her. She was disappointed not to get the final glass of our trip, but we'll be back next year. :)

It was Pirate Night back on the ship and they were just showing a movie (Mars Needs Moms) in the Walt Disney Theater, so after getting cleaned up and resting a little, the girls got into their pirate outfits and heading up to the kids club to wait until late dinner. The grandparents had Palo reservations, so it was just the four of us at dinner. When we picked the kids up from the club, they looked even more piratey. The CMs there had painted their faces with skull & crossbones and scars. They even made little eye patches as crafts. On the way to dinner, the girls had their picture taken with Pirate Mickey.

Unfortunately at dinner, both girls were completely wiped out - and so was I. We weren't really able to enjoy it because we were all so tired. Emily and I left early and went on down to bed to rest before the pirate party. We didn't make it as we both fell asleep. Becky and Molly did though, and Molly had a blast dancing and watching the fireworks. Luckily she didn't talk much about it to Emily the next day, so she wasn't really aware that she had even missed anything.

Here's the latest. I feel like I am being too wordy with these. Oh well.

Not too wordy at all! And I would love to see your pictures! My family and I were on the same cruise and I love reliving it through these trip reports! :)

I'm enjoying reliving the cruise with your family. We were on the same cruise and I like to see what others did compared to what we did. We were the UK Final Four family that you sat with at the port.

Can't wait to hear your version of 'How Well Do You Know Your Family'. Emily was just too cute with her answers.

And of course you have to add pictures!

You're not too wordy at all. I'm enjoying your report very much. I'd love to see a few pictures!
