We went to DisneyWorld this past spring break and we had done the previous year. Our 5 year old daughter wanted to have dinner at Cinderella's Castle and were suprised to find an opening less than a month out. We paid the dinner in full at that time.
On our way driving to Florida, I noticed a credit on our account for the dinner. We immediately called the dining line and were told that someone made a mistake and cancelled it and never called. At this point, all of the Cinderella dining was booked and they could only offer us 150$ gift card so we could book another dining and then fast passes to take pictures with the princesses at Magic Kingdom. My wife was in tears and we didn't know how to tell my daughter. I immediately wrote Disney about the experience so we could hopefully help others not have this problem. Within hours we were contacted by several representatives.
After a few days, they were able to work us into a dinner one day, even giving us a park hopper upgrade for the rest of our trip so it would be easier to work into our plans. When we arrived, our daughter was treated like an actual princess even putting us by one of the few windows. They even gave her a glass slipper with her name engraved on it. When it came time to pay, a manager came up to us and told us "Cinderalla has this one". The fast passes to the princesses even included a free picture package and they still gave us the 150$ gift card.
Disney really came through.
