Spring Break 2011 on the DREAM

Has anyone done any of the excursions at Atlantis...Any recommendations? Wondering if its worth it for the water park or just the access to the tour of the island?

We did the aquarium tour on our first visit. It was nice and gave us a chance to check the place out. But the gambling was very costly. The minimum tables were around $25 and there were no cheap slots either.

E, Congratulations!! I just noticed your ticker also!! Hope you are feeling well!

5 weeks and counting, it is really getting close. I need to start doing inventory of everyone's clothes before we go, make sure everything fits!!

Have a great week everyone!!

I just noticed your new "ticker"! That should make the cruise fun. I was pregnant with my youngest on my first Disney cruise.

Thanks so much ladies!:goodvibes It's still early yet but I am enjoying it so far. Now you understand when I posted a while ago that I was going through some health things. Well this little peanut was my health things:goodvibes I have to say it's the best birthday present you can get so bring it on!!!!

Weather is cold, wet, basically damp here today! I'm dreaming about sitting on the beach or by the pool real soon! We received our cruise documents on Saturday too!:thumbsup2 I am assembling travel folders with itineraries for our group so I need to remind them to still bring their little books:thumbsup2

Bring on March!!!

Congrats and what a great birthday present! We also received our cruise docs on Saturday. According to my countdown clock - 32 days to flight and 33 days to Dream:banana:

We are actually headed to FL earlier as we are driving down! Uggg can't be fast enough especially since I just looked out the window and it is SNOWING again! SHEESH!

OK so is the "Turning 40" crew still planning on getting together? Anyone want to organize? Our family is doing a ship pub crawl on Wednesday eveing after dinner so we are up for anything! Tueday is Castaway Cay and Pirate Party and for us Palo night.

We are planning on eating lunch on board on Sunday. I remember seeing the name of the restraunt that would be open then but can not recall or find it. Anyone have any idea?

I believe Cabanas (the buffett) and Enchanted Garden are open for lunch on Sunday. I've been told that Cabanas is the better option.

I'll be turning 40 (again, LOL) a week after we get home, so I'd like to join the celebration.

Now if i weren't 71 and in a wheel chair (result of car accident) I would b e leading the parade! however our 46 and 45 year olds are coming along on the trip so we will send them along!!

Thanks for the info. I know the mother in law doesn't like spending big and would rather spend the money on other excursions. Thanks again

I did the same thing eary on, Zert...it was quite frustrating not being able to IM and such...

I can't belive that the trip is only 30 days away...I need to get my backside moving on my FE gifts.

That being said...Eilis - is the FE group 'locked' now? Just want to make sure of final numbers since we're a month out now. (P.S. Congrats on being pregnant!)

Awesome! That was what I remembered, Cabanas! Sounds like it will be great! Thanks so much.

Thanks so much George!

I would say that our FE group is set as of now. I am still waiting to hear from 2 groups for their cabin numbers.

We have had one request for no sugar free products for one room. To keep privacy that information is noted on the FE Excel Spread sheet. (Please see RED FONT w/ Comment) I will wait until tomorrow to send out an update as I am hopeful that we will get the 2 cabin numbers by then.

Hope everyone is staying warm! I can't believe we will be on our way soon!!!:cool1:

First- Congrats ESBRICK! What great news! 2 of our most memorable and fun vacations were spent with me being pregnant (I found out just prior to both trips).

I'm part of the "40 Bday" crew. I would love to get together with the other 40's (do we drink a 40 for turning 40 :rotfl:). With my unfamiliarity with this ship, I probably would not be a good choice for organizing anything. Wed night is our Palo night and we were planning on checking out some clubs (mainly Pink- I LOVE champagne). We don't have set plans for any other evening, or day, though.
Did a cruise meet for our first day or so ever get planned? Did I miss it from a prior post?
I'm feeling very behind these days. I've been very focused on the Disney Princess race weekend and getting myself trained and ready for that (and calming my mother down about it all ), and also my kids hectic performance schedules for Feb thru March (thank goodness they didn't get scheduled to perform during the cruise time- I would have been very unhappy). As soon as this weekend is done, I can really focus on the cruise, getting our FE's together, and any DIS meets that are planned for us.

Wow....time is flying can't believe four weeks from now we'll practically be on the ship!

I have one part of my Adult FE gift done (just spent the past 3+ hours doing it), I know what I want to do for part 2...just have to go and buy the parts and assemble.

The Kids FE's are all designed, just need to put it together and order the companion items...

How is everyone else progressing?

Um. About 1/16th done, since we have two cruises to make gifts for. Maybe I should do my FE gifts today instead of jumping in our pool. Or, maybe not. I really do need to get working on them or I'll end up buying something.

Oh, no!

Due to my mother's many health issues (multiple trips from Minnesota to Texas to care for her), I've been too busy to sign up for the FE. This is my fourth cruise, so I should know better. :guilty:

We have five people and would LOVE to join in the group. I know we're late... I hope it's still a possibility. Would it help if I promise a fun, completely different gift for the FE? Just in case it's still possible, here's our information.

The Cooperman Family from Minnesota
Cabins 6556 (adults) and 6558 (kids)
No allergies
-Mom - Dyanne
-Dad - Andy
- Daughter - Madi (age 14*)
- Daughter - Nina (age 12)
- Son - Sam (age 9)

*My 14yo DD would love to find other cruisers aged 13-15. PM me if you have a qualifying teen and I'll pass on her info. I also have a 12yo DD and a 9yo DS.

Can we join? :flower3:

Dyanne

P.S. I've noticed several of you have already made the FE gifts. Since we're just now begging to sign up, I want to say that I will not in any way be offended if you decide not to make us one at this point!

I'm all for it. I know it's not up to me, but I'd love to welcome you to our group. The more the merrier!

Hello all you 3/27 Dreamers. I am so sorry to have "dropped out of sight". My mother took ill mid summer and eventually passed away in early Jan. I have not been on the DISboards for months. I was not even sure we would do the cruise, but we bought this crusie as a Christmas gift to our family and after a simply horrible Christmas, we decided we could all use this trip for healing.

Eilis, I really owe you an apology for not responding to the PMs. The cruise was put on a back burner. I am so sorry.

Unfortunately, we will not be participating in the FE. But if you are planning a DIS meet, we would love to stop by and say HI!!

Our 2 DGD :cutie: :cutie:(ages 1 & 2) are so excited about the cruise. Our 2 yr old can not wait to meet Capt. Jack Sparrow. She says he is so so so dreamy. Does anyone know if we could possibly get an autograph of Capt, Jack?pirate: This would be the highlight of her cruise. Sure the Fab 4 and the princesses would be great to see, but this child LOVES Jack Sparrow!!

Sorry to ramble on. Really looking forward to meeting some of you!:yay:

Lynda

P.S. We are in cabins #2052, #2054 & #2008

I am so sorry about your mother.

On the other ships, Capt. Jack was available on Castaway Cay with a great view of the Flying Dutchmen and on pirate night near the theater. I'm not sure if they will do the same on this ship, but if so, your DGD will be in luck. The Captain was very interactive, especially with those dressed in pirate attire.
