Spring Break 2008

Does anybody know when Spring Break 2008 is and when the crowds will start to arrive and depart for thsi period?

Spring Break starts approximately February 15 and goes until the middle of April. There is no set week as each school sets its own break schedule. You will find that the peak weeks are the week before and after Easter, as well as mid to end of March each year.

In 2008 Easter and Passover will not fall at the same time. The last time that happened, NYC public schools; and many other NE school systems; had their spring break during Passover instead of Easter.

We were able to book our trip at the regular season rate, but the crowds were peak season crowds. However, we still managed to have a great time.

Sorry about the game Jets fan.

Here in Ohio, Spring Break is around Easter, either the week before(Easter weekend being at the end of break) or the other way around Easter weekend at the start of break. This is for most public schools, though my son did a year at the local "snooty" private and he got 2 weeks off in mid March that year.

Already called our district looking for 07-08 schedule, it's not been blessed by the board yet, but the secretary had it very handy so we are off March21-28. We're thinking of doing VB, with a couple of days at SSR either on the way in or way out.

Thanks all. In the UK for 2008, the school holidays seem to be from 4 April for two weeks and seem to be completely seperate from Easter. This could work out quite well for UK bods for once.

Also the Jets team I support is a UK Ice Hockey team and we're doing very well at the moment. I do the PR for them and am really enjoying the games as we're winning

This is what we are hoping too - not all schools in the UK are closed in April so I hope this will encourage UK TAs to keep package/flight prices down (need fingers crossed icon )
