I was able to get a time slot for my 8 year old son on an at-sea day, but I have no clue what it is and how it is structured. He loves sports and the prices aren't crazy, IMO. But I can't secure a time for Mom or Dad at the same time to be with him, as it says sold out. So, can parents still be inside the sports simulation area as the kids participate in whatever this is? Is it OK for kids as young as 8?

Yes you can certainly join in with your son! In fact his age may make it perfect! It's a giant interactive screen wall where you interact using real sports equipment.

Yes, you pay for your hour and then your family can go in and switch off playing the games. It is tight space so you just have to stand to the side. I think an 8 year old will be fine it just might be hard to be accurate with some of the games. Enjoy!

So his 6 year old sister could go in with him and try? I knew you guys would know! THANKS!

Your family can go in together, but if he picks a single player game first, you just watch from behind the gate.
If he picks a double player game two can play at the same time. We only needed a 1/2 hour to enjoy
the experience.

Glad to see that younger ages are welcome...my 9 year old daughter (will be 10 by cruise time) is an accomplished junior golfer, and I was thinking about going in there and duking it out with her. Have to play her as much as possible while I can still beat her.

Anybody know about how big the screen is? There was a bar near where I lived that had one of these and my buddies took me to play golf on it.

Just as an FYI we did it on the Dream in August and it was extremely hot in there. No air conditioning. Make sure to bring some ice cold water with you. We still had tons of fun!

Can you tell me what the charge is for the sports simulator session?

I agree with the above, with the exception of it being tons of fun. My son, who's a sports nut, didn't find any of the games fun and we actually left before our time was up. We were on cruise in February and the space was still very hot.

They often fill up in advance, but people do cancel, so keep checking beforehand and ask once you get on board too.
