I haven't seen much on the line about Spoodles or Flying Fish. When I have read things they seemed positive. We are thinking of celebrating our anniversary at one of these and would like some input. Thanks!;)

IMHO - I would choose flying fish. I think it is a little more "gourmet"...less kids. I enjoy the tapas at Spoodles - but I don't find it in anyway romantic.

We went to Bistros de Paris one time for a romantic dinner. I found that very nice, if you like Fench food - then illuminations after and a walk to the Boardwalk.

Flying Fish - definitely. Great wine list, great service, great foods and a very willing kitchen if you want to modify or request anything different. Ask for Jodi as your server - she is awesome!

For an anniversary, I would definitely go with Flying Fish. More romantic atmosphere, quieter, and definitely more gourmet food. Great wine selection, and wonderful servers -- most of them have taken the sommelier course offered by Disney, and are very knowlegeable about wine pairings.

Their bananas foster napoleon is, I think, the best dessert on property! (Bananas, caramel, puff pastry and creme brulee? You can't go wrong!)

I've also seen some of the things they do for anniversaries, and I really think it's your best bet. ;)

I also vote for Flying Fish over Spoodles for an anniversary. It's just better overall for a special meal. And ask for Bob, he was our server the last two times we ate there.

Spoodles is one of our favorite restaurants at WDW, we eat here on every trip. We always start with a flatbread for an appitiser, they are so good. I had the Morrocian Tuna on our last visit and it was the best tuna I had ever had. After dinner take a stroll around the Boardwalk, it is really romantic in the evening.

Yes, yes.. everyone go to Flying Fish! That way, it won't be so crowded over at Spoodles when we dine there ;)

I wouldn't go back to Flying Fish. What I had was good but I didn't think it was a $30 piece of fish.

TDC Nala, I agree.. the prices were ridiculous (imo).

We did our anniversary at FF two years ago. Another vote for Bob as well - he was terrific!

Spoodles is very good too - just not as much of a "special occasion" place.

I had dinner at Spoodle's on my last trip and it was EXCELLENT!!!! The food was fantastic and it is now a must-dine for me.

I've heard a lot of good comments about Spoodles lately so we may give it another try but our one and only experience there was pretty bad. I have eaten at FF many times and always have an excellent meal and wonderful time there.
The steak is excellent and so is seafood. A little pricey, of course, but first of all you are at WDW paying resort prices and secondly, good steakhouses and seafood restaurants around here charge just as much.

We have had three less than wonderful meals at Spoodles. Flying Fish was better and more romantic.

I'm surprised (and sorry to hear) that your meals at Spoodles were less than what you expected.

We have eaten at Spoodles over a dozen times (3 just in 2003) and we've never had a bad meal yet. In fact, the reason we keep returning is because the food and service are so terrific.

After looking at a menu and reading all of the positive responses we decided on Spoodles. My husband is very fond of pasta and I am allergic to shell fish so these factors weighed heavily on our decission also. thanks for the help and i will let you know how it goes.:D
