I have a PS for Spoodles for our upcoming trip...read one thread which suggested that those on the dining plan received a limited menu...just called Spoodles, everyone receives the same limited menu...salmon, NY strip, Paella...plus three other entrees, can't remember what they were, but certainly nothing out of the ordinary...I will be cancelling our reservation and going elsewhere...the number for Spoodles is 407-939-2380.

I was at spoodles on 6/27 and they have a decent menu. Everyone at my table (5 adults, including me, a vegetarian) found something they enjoyed. My dad had a steak which he was in awe of, I had a vegetarian meal (though it wasn't on the menu all I had to do was ask), which was also wonderful. My mom had the salmon, my sister the chicken, and my sisters boyfriend had the steak as well. We were all dining on the meal plan and had no problems or issues with things not included on the menu. My father even got the shrimp as an appetizer and it was all included.

tricia.

Wonder why they pared down the menu. But everyone in my party wanted something they kept. So we're going to go anyway.

We have PS's for Spoodles in Sept. Has the menu changed recently, or is the menu on Allearsnet correct?? We were interested in that particular menu...

Thanks!

Please tell me they haven't taken the paella off the menu. I would be devastated!

Battricia, do you recall what you were served as a veggie meal? I sometimes order the dip plate as an entree, and sometimes a pasta with tomato sauce. Just curious as I will be at the Yacht Club soon and like to visit Spoodles....

The allears menu is not current. I wanted the gnocchi...we have PSs at other restaurants that serve the salmon, steak, chicken, etc...I love Paella but make it myself at home w/ exactly the sausage, seafood, veg, that I want, so don't want to order it out. Now I have to figure out what our replacement restaurant is going to be. First time at WDW, I wanted a good representation of the different areas and dining types, w/o buffets or character meals...we have HDDR, CRT dinner, Le Cellier, Alfredos, and Ohanas.

The gnocci IS available, you just have to ask for the vegetarian option. That is what I had on 6/27. It says at the bottom of the menu something like 'ask your waiter for veggie options' so I asked and he informed me of the vegetables and gnocci. It was very good, and a bit spicey.

tricia.

Thanks, battricia - I have had the gnocchi there in past, and find it much better than at Alfredo's (I ask them to change out the sauce there to a tomato sauce, but the food never seems hot temparture-wise, unlike Spoodles which has always been good in past!)

So what exactly has changed? Can someone be more specific? I have an ADR on aug 2nd and time is running out if I want to cancel.

The menu on allears looked delicious.....

Subscribing to this thread because we have ARs also. I'm interested in what dishes are on the pared down menu.

From this and other threads.

Of the things that are on the All ears menu, the only ones that I cannot find info from these threads stating they are available are the chicken breast, the pork Chop and the Rigatoni They still may be but I can't find on these boards where anyone has said they they are.

Apparantly the Gnocchi isn't on the menu but if you ask for vegetarian you can still get it.

Of the appetizers, on another thread, someone said the fried calimari and the mussels are definitely gone, the Dips remain, and from this thread the shrimp remain. The others, Can't tell.

Of the deserts, not much has been said that I can find.

anyone with more info would be helpful.

Would love to see what the new menu looks like.....wonder if I call if they can fax it to me? If it really is a pared down version of what is on allears I think we will need to reconsider our ARs.

We recently returned from a two week trip and found Spoodles to be our "must return" each time. We had the lamb with yogurt dipping sauce and shared the rigatoni. The flatbread with olive tappenade and tomatoes is something my DH and I still dream about! ;) BTW, hope they haven't removed the sangria. That stuff is amazing! :rolleyes1

CMJ when did you go? The change happened some time ago. If it was real recent, we can add everything you said you had to the available list.

The flat breads at Spoodles will keep you coming back for more! SO GOOD!

My sister got the chicken so that is definately still on the menu, though I'm not sure whether it's a chicken breast or something else. for desserts I had sorbet (I believe it was raspberry), my dad got a 'create your own sundae'.

Also, both pastas (fettucini and some other kind) are still available, because the waiter also offered me those items with the meat removed, and I remember trying to decide. I hope this helps some in the decision making.
