Does any one have any good experience with either Spoodles of Big River Grill over at the Board Walk?:)
I have not heard alot about either but I thought it might be nice to have dinner over at one of the resturaunts on the Board walk. I like atmosphere!

We've eaten at both a few times and they are fine. Somewhat different experiences.

We like to split appetizers and even regular entrees at Spoodles to get a good variety of their food. Their food has a Mediterrean flare to it. Big River is very "casual" but decent sandwiches and good salads.

Actually our very favorite restaurant over at the BW is definitely FF. It's one of our favorite restaurants in all of WDW and we try not to miss whenever we're in the world. It is more pricey but worth it.:thumbsup2

But either Spoodles or Big River are pretty good, check out their menus to see what might interest you.

Just so you know, Big River Grille does not take ADRs--they are walk-up's only. For me, that alone knocked it out of the running. I don't want to be waiting to eat for an hour!

We always do Big River at lunch, usually taking to boat there from MGM. Good food, great service, and beautiful view of the Epcot lake and resorts.

We've done both. Won't go back to BRG. Very poor service, food just OK. So many other good places available nearby. Why bother?

If it's a choice between the two, take Spoodles. Decent food and better service. We ate at both during our last week there. Also, the Flying Fish is fantastic, but it's expensive. I believe it takes two meal tickets if on the dining plan.
A note about BRG, it was pouring rain and storming one night and of course, we had reservations for dinner Fantasmic package that night. Anyway, everything around the BW and BC were packed solid and not taking any walk-ins, except BRG. We walked right in and sat down and ate. If I were you, I would save BRG for a back-up. No one walks down the BW in the pouring rain, apparently.

We like the beer at Big River Grill and sitting outside and relaxing while the kids play some of the carnival games on the Boardwalk. We've only eaten appetizers there and those were just ok so we probably wouldn't make it a dinner place.

We ate at Spoodles twice this last trip. This restaurant remains one of our favorites, and we can't wait to go again in December.

We just ate at the Spoodles on the 13th and it was not a place i would return to. I loved the 4 cheese flat bread. But then I got the steak kabobs and asked for it well done well it was charred my teeth turned black.
Another in my party ordered pasta it looked like soup. it was not a fun experience and will never go back there.

My DH and I ate dinner at Spoodles for the first time earlier this month, and we both really enjoyed our meals. I had the margarita flatbread to start and the garlic shrimp linguini for entree. DH had the hummos (sp?) and pitta bread to start and the steak kabob (medium rare) for entree. We shared the dessert sampler. We were not on the dining plan. Everything was delicious and we will definitely return to eat there on our next trip - whenever that may be! :)

Don't know when your trip is but I think I just read that soon Big River Grill will be undergoing a refurb and the service will be relocated to the Atlantic Dance Hall on the Boardwalk. I think I read it in my allears newsletter.

Big River Grille does take reservations but you can't make them through Disney Dining. You have to make them direct by calling 407-560-0253.

We have been going to Spoodles for years and love it....definitely go there. Big River is disappointing and we have given it several tries. It is one of those places that looks like it could be good but it has always disappointed.....not bad...just not good. Spoodles is very good...easy decision between the two!
