Spontaneity + SSR = ONE HAPPY GIRL!

Well I suppose I'm a woman.

No, this is not a TR.

Booked five days out. .

For a long weekend stay.

Weather was HOT. HOT. HOT.

I'm much too pink for such temperatures but despite that it was lovely.

Okay, always have loved spontaneity but haven't always loved SSR. I actually haven't stayed there since 2005 or 06. By choice.

But my goodness that place has grown into itself in such a lovely manner. What a great surprise. AND the best part - the best SSR and DVC part - their staff - well don't faint everyone with all the negative DVC threads lately - THAT STAFF well it was like they were absolutely thrilled to serve you. And I loved that! That sounded so snooty and pompous. Oh well.

So in a minute I'll post some pictures to show that SSR (and some other snuck in) provided me with the exact WDW vacation I needed.

Yes Candy it has. You are so right. And I've been critical of it in the past. So it literally forced me to say "hmmm" and I'm very excited to stay again.

Especially when I need to regroup and recharge.

We flew from Pittsburgh to save money. It stays very reasonable at a late moment.

Beautiful pics! Thanks for posting! DH and I just came back from a weekend there (20-23rd) and agree--we LOVED it. We stayed there with the kids back in July 2009 and thought it was OK, but nothing "WOW'd" me. This time around, however--as your post shows--picture perfect! We'll definitely be back!

I sat on my you know what in a rocking chair at Crockett's Tavern and only moved to steal A/C from the bar window. Cause I was obviously boycotting my beloved BW rocking chairs.

OR

I perfected my handstands FOR HOURS in the Congress Park pool

OR

I cried when the Heat won and almost fell asleep when the Mavs/Thunder provided me with a horrid game. Cause Dirk obviously visited a sports' therapist.

OR

hmmmm - ummm - When asked by a boat captain where I was going - I said wherever you are going - I have no destination.

Which one Nolanboys?

We were there at the exact same time. I should look at your post and see your picture. I am totally easy to spot. I'm the girl who is melting in the heat. Or fighting with a black girl - either one. Glad you loved it as well.

Probably not until winter, and we'll have to settle for just a visit to SSR until the kids are out of high school. The extra bath and pullout chair at AKV and BLT are just too darned convenient with two teens! But I see us spending lots of quality "kidless" time at SSR when they are off to college!
