Your photos always inspire me, and then I forget to take some like yours. I have way too many pics of studio kitchenettes and bathrooms.

But Debbie - I LOVE interior shots. And both bathrooms and kitchenettes have lighting fixtures.

You know I hardly took any pictures. Literally just the ones that I posted. Why? Are you ready? It's kind of ridiculous. It was SO hot - that just lifting one's arm or dong a squat - well one would be - or maybe it's just my problem - wanting to change clothes - it was THAT hot.

WOW, those are beautiful pictures. We came back last week, my DH needed his recharge time. I should have but went to a convention. So I need to recharge time too...right?! Love those last minute trips...so glad the pixie dust is still out there.

All of your things sound great - although I am partial to the hand stands because I was the winner over my boys in our contest this past March at SSR's pool. I still got it! And don't talk to me about games. I had to watch the Bulls last night lose their 10 point lead and get beaten by the Heat.Oh, the men in my house were not happy campers last night!

Just LOVED your photos, lisaviolet! Thanks so much for posting them. I was our stay at SSR last November that finally got us to buy into DVC. It was our second stay there and it was just perfect. Thanks for the chance to revisit our DVC home!

The extra bath and pullout chair at AKV and BLT are just too darned convenient with two teens! But I see us spending lots of quality "kidless" time at SSR when they are off to college!

What is so funny is that I actually said your name - in my insane head - on vacation. I said, "KAT! KAT! No DDP and LOVING IT!!" Maybe you passed me at that moment.

(everyone I never do the DDP - tried it again last year hated it and then gave it another try to open my mind - nope - disliked it again and was SO RELIEVED not to this time)

At least 30% of my reservations have been under seven days. There are no waitlists and it's surprising how many cancel at the last minute and they have been everywhere for me - AKV, BCV, BWV, SSR, VB.....

It is getting more difficult for sure but when the waitlists end they are still there.,

Yes, but at our second home, BWV. We'll be there in December, our first time in a Boardwalk view studio. Hoping to talk our son (not a Disney fan - where did he come from? ) into letting us treat his family to a stay at the THVs, but so far, no luck.

We were at SSR a couple of days before you - Wed & Thursday nights and then moved to Jambo. SSR was in beautiful form and we were able to switch to it just 3 days before we left! My only other stay there was not as pleasing and I was even trying to switch as we were walking in to check in. Really though my last stay really had less to do with the resort and more with airlines and lost luggage and I'm glad MS couldn't find anywhere else for us since we had a wonderful stay this time. My nephews and niece had to delay coming down for this trip and our GV was going to be a little large for DH and me. You could have come and stayed with us there and we might still have never seen you!!

And since we spent most every waking hour over the weekend in the parks with the young ones who wanted to see everything in 4 days it's not too surprising we didn't see you!!

AND - we even tried the dining plan for one night. Hadn't done that in 5 years! I think we're good for another 5. QS and getting the mugs were our goal and it was good for that and filling us up for one day.

But still.......how could we miss you!! So sad......

My goodness. We just had our first BW view too. I should find you the link. Ignore all my rambling but keep scrolling and you'll find my BW view pictures. Magical. We have owned at BW for five or six years (SSR too) and we just got around to using a booking window.

EDIT: I just realized you had to leave that day. Oh how I love super late EMHs. Heaven.

I did do parks. I have an AP this year don't forget. Well I did two late night EMH I mean. One park day commenced at - hmm - let's see.... 9pm. It's the sun thing too. I'm lazy. I would be a lobster no matter what I put on out at the parks all day. It's so funny when I miss a spot on my face or body to see what would have been all over.

Bonus on the GV. Loved that! I could have crashed your pad if you stayed longer there.

Your thoughts on SSR pre this trip were mine too. So glad SSR gave it to both of us.

Sammie - bang on. I ADORE what hot days bring. BEAUTIFUL NIGHTS. I do not avoid hot weather times because I'm in love with Florida heat all night long.

There is nothing better than the parks at night as well.

As for the SSR service I'm glad you brought it up again. I don't want that point to be missed. There is good service - there is great service and then there is SSR service - great service not just going through the motions but done with such pleasure by everyone there. It's unreal to me and makes for such a happy vacation. I don't know how they do it but I'm thankful - that's for sure.
