**spoilers*** Lost Season Five **spoilers**

But what I'm saying is that according to Desmond not knowing Eloise shouldn't have known because it hadn't happened it Daniel's present yet. Am I making any sense?

Nevermind. I just remembered that Charlotte remembered what Daniel said before he said it.

No, you're making perfect sense and I DO understand! If you follow the "whatever happened, happened" theory, then if Eloise shot Daniel in 1977 when he time-traveled, then it happened in her past, so that's why she would remember. Same with Charlotte - the time-traveling Daniel told the little girl Charlotte not to come back to the island, so she remembered it.

And you're asking why Desmond didn't remember Daniel banging on the hatch door when Daniel time-traveled - Desmond didn't have that memory until Daniel actually did it in 2007 (when he flashed back to whatever year Desmond was in the hatch). IF the same theory applied to Desmond, then he SHOULD have remembered. But Daniel said in that episode that "the rules" don't apply to Desmond. Of course nobody has explained yet what's so special about Desmond that the rules don't apply to him, nor have they explained WHAT the rules are that don't apply to him!;) So I can only assume that Desmond didn't remember Daniel banging on the hatch (even though he should have since it happened in his past) because of whatever it is that's so special about Desmond.

Does that make sense?

Yes thanks. I need to remember nothing on that show makes sense. :rotfl:

I'd never heard of AckAttack before your post. Thanks for the link. AckAttack's summary was :rotfl2:

Look for another game-changing finale. Based on the rumors we're hearing about what happens, you may find yourself wondering how they could still even do the same show after this.

DarkUFO also posted 5 sneak peaks for "Follow the Leader".

The AckAttack's version of last week's episode; it's hilarious! AckAttack
That was really funny! :lmao:
I loved when he wrote that Daniel said to Charlotte
“Now look, pumpkin. I know how strange this is for you. You grew up on an island full of Americans and yet you’ve got a British accent. I understand, I grew up in England, but seem to have an American accent.” :rotfl:

DarkUFO has posted a bunch new preview clips and a very detailed synopsis of tonight's episode. Interesting stuff!

About the season finale:

"The audience is going to be left wondering who will be on this program next season" - Michael Emerson.

"There are revalations about my character that are so shocking, I can't even begin to address them" - Terry O'Quinn

Ooh, I can't wait!

Wow - I can't believe I'm the first to comment after last night's episode!

Ok, as usual, I've got more questions after last night's episode.

I guess it looks like they WILL change the past. Harleyquinn posted on the non-spoiler thread about Richard telling Sun that he saw Jack, Kate, Hurley die - if they die during the incident, then there's not much point to next season, is there? Unless the incident still occurs but somehow the Losties flash to another time? But why would RIchard say he saw them die?

Very nice that they let Miles see how his dad had to "throw" his mother off the island - his dad didn't really hate them, it was the only way he could get Miles' mother to leave.

So back in season 2 (or was it 3) when Ben took Locke to the cabin, Locke heard Jacob say "help me". And now Locke wants to kill Jacob?? Is Jacob stuck in some middle-world between living and dead and wants Locke to kill him so he'll go over to the other side? Or is Locke just playing mind games with Ben, the way Ben did with him for so long?

I really don't think Ben's follow-the-leader is going to last, no matter how afraid he is of the smoke monster. He's going to see Locke's quest to kill Jacob as his path to try to regain leadership of the Others.

Jeez, I can't stand Kate any more. One week she tells Jack that she's always been on his side, and now she just walks away. I can understand that she doesn't want things to change - if they manage to change things and 815 doesn't crash, then she's headed to trial in LA. But all the people (Charlie, Boone, Shannon, even Nikki and Paolo) who died on the island......doesn't that mean anything to her?

From next week's preview, it looks as though Sawyer, Juliette, and Kate somehow make it back to the island.

Why did Ben say that's why he tried to kill Locke? Why not, that's why he killed him???

They were really emphasizing the fact that Richard has been there for a very, very long time. With all the heiroglyphs and Anubis, etc., it makes me think that Richard is Egyptian and has been around since that time period....maybe that eyeliner is a hint... :rolleyes1

I just posted on the non-spoiler thread my thoughts.

I think Locke just might be a little evil now. Maybe seeking revenge on Ben since he did kill him. Why in the world would he want to kill Jacob??? Maybe coming back to the island 'dead' changed him for the worse. Ben said again at some point last night 'dead is dead'.

It was great to see sayid. :thumbsup2

I was SO confused by the scene with Locke and Richard and the bullet because I thought they were in current time so Locke and the bullet was the future? My head hurts!!!! :headache:

Love this show!!! I don't want it to end!!! :sad1:

I'm telling you, he really is a Goa'uld.

What time period did Sawyer, Kate and Juliet go back to? At first I thought they were with Locke which would be 2007 but then she was talking about Jack and the bomb so I guess it must be 1977

Locke is getting annoying!!!!!!!

I am guessing that Ann Arbor sent back Kate, Sawyer and Juliet because we know that Charlotte and Baby Miles make it to Ann Arbor.

Good thing for Jack Sayid showed up. I doubt Jack would know what to do with a bomb.

Sawyer, Kate and Juliet are now in 1977.

I guess because he didn't stay dead.

Okay, I really like this show and thinking about it, and it being on Wednesday night really helps me get through the week. I originally thought next week was going to be a flashback week with the following week being the finale for season 5, but according to the previews last night they said next week is the finale.

So, on to the show. As much as I love the show, it is really frustrating me at the moment. I keep expecting answers but every week they just pile up more questions. Next season is going to be assume if for no other reason they will have to be answering questions every week to wrap this thing up in 16 episodes. My latest theroy is that we have actually added another faction seeking control of the island. Who is it? Believe it or not I think it's the island itself acting through John Locke. So far in the fight for control of the island is Dharma, the Others with Richard Alpert as "advisor" ( I loved Ben's description of him), Widmore, (who I don't really consider an Other anymore because he was banished), Illiana heads another group and we don't know yet who they represent. It could be the new Dharma, but they seem almost too nice based on the big guys interaction with Miles during his flashback episode.

The idea that John represents a new group is based on two things, first when Ben told him his timing was impeccable about finding his time traveling self Ben asked how did he know? John said the island told him. The second was the very end of the show when they were going to see Jacob and Ben asked why? John said "to kill him". Those two things make me think the island brought back John from the dead to do it's bidding for him and from the very start of the show John's faith has been in the island, not Jacob, not Ben, not Richard, but the ISLAND!

The previews definitely indicate that Sawyer, Julliette, and Kate somehow get off the sub because they are back on the island. For whatever reason I don't think the bomb is detonated and history is not changed, and they get back to 2008 where the show continues next year with them resolving the coming war between the various factions for ultimate control of the island.

Just my thoughts.

SOOOOOOOO...

I went and saw Star Trek last night (OMG you have to see it! Even if you aren't a Trekkie!) and it was soo good! You all probably know that it is directed by JJ Abrams (same guy as lost) and he did something that made me think of an answer to lost. I will post it below in WHITE so that it doesn't spoil the Star Trek movie for those who want to see it. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK:

{In the movie, there was time travel like Lost. And like Lost, people were trying to change the past. As we all know and most of us understand, you cannot change the past. It defies all the laws of time travel and space. But in the Star Trek movie, the time travel was caused by a black hole that took them into a parallel universe. This way, they were able to change the past but not have it alter the lives they have already led. That could easily be an explanation for the Island in Lost. Did that make sense at all?} ;)

What if Locke isn't "Locke" but Jacob? And he is saying that he is going to kill Jacob to see who will join him? He could be like Christian and Alex after they were killed, maybe? I'm wondering if they are all Jacob in a different form or not. I don't think Jacob can be killed since he isn't a real live 'person'.

Can we have another status update on who they said are safe from being killed next week?

Do we know for sure we will know next week they died? In that interview with Ben in TV Guide he makes it sound like we won't know until next season who died. It better not be that way or they will have some very pissed fans on their hands.

Any ideas what is supposed to happen Wednesday?
