It was the right choice tonight and Nikki is gone. Justin and Kelly deserve to be in the finals and I'm still rooting for JUSTIN GUARINI

Kelly does have a magnificent voice and she has all of my respect also so should she win, I will not be dissapointed at all. Tonight has restored a little faith in the voting public. I can't wait for next week.

Poor Nikki. You guys are so harsh with her. The girl belongs in a good rock/punk band. She's got a great, gritty voice, and I had more fun watching her than the other two. She's not meant to be a pop star like Justin, or adult contemporary like Kelly! So, I agree that she should be out of the competition, but only because I think her style/voice is a little too edgey for mainstream.

I actually thought Nikki did a goo job singing last night. Not out of all of them but out of all her songs. She did a great job with the Stevie Nicks song. That suits her style of singing so well. I think she was very lucky to have lasted this long. My vote goes for Kelly. My kids have been voting for her every week!!

I am rooting for Kelly, but I am satisfied knowing one of them is going to win. The way I see it, Kelly is the girl American Idol and Justin is the boy - they are both American Idols, just one gets the official title. Both will be signed to record deals no matter who wins.

Ya know, Nikki is a GORGEOUS woman, who can play up to a camera.. her voice is wild.. I do like it, but her time on the show is up.. move over for Kelly and Justin....
Kelly, ah Kelly, the girl has an amazing voice, I hope when she wins this thing that she gets a great producer who will work with her to develop her talent.. and ask her to take the thick blonde

Okay, I admit I just started to watch American Idol about three weeks ago. And I was sad to see Nikki Go, but could see why, Kelly has the better voice, and She also appeals to a broder American Audience.

BUT

As for Justin, his voice is like all the other boy bands...just okay but he knows how to manipulate the young girls of America. I honestly don't think he's all that cute. I have to say I'm with MamaJoan on this one, if he winks, blows kisses, or mouths I Love You one more time, I'm gonna barf!

Come on America, How many more cornballs can we take in the music industry???!!!

Buh-bye to Nikki! It's about time for her to smile her last pretty smile for the camera. Her blatant hatchet job of "Edge of Seventeen" certainly aided in her demise. She will do well performing in a band where she doesn't have to hit many notes or sustain any.... she needs some Serious Vocal Training, then we'll talk about a career for her.
I'm just glad Kelly hired a professional to start doing her hair... I was beginning to get worried.... but her voice has always more than made up for any hairtastrophes. She is golden, and her spunky country charm will help her in the beginning... but she'll have to urbanize herself a bit later on in her career. She will win, I am confident of that, as she is much more versatile than Justin.
Speaking of...... I agree with all who are referring him to their Vegas Lounge of Choice. His velvety vocals will only last so long if he can only perform one type of song... as I've said before, the Old Ladies will throw their underlovelies his way during each performance of his very own Vegas Revue.
You have to have versatility and the ability to change.... why do you think Madonna has lasted so long? I'm not a huge fan of Madonna's body of work, but she hasn't failed in maintaining her fanbase over the span of 20+ years, all due to her versatility.

I joined this show very late, I really don't like shows like this normally because they vote more on appeal than true talent. BUT, if that is the case and based on what is considered an American Idol (B Spears, Justin Timberlake, et al) Justin should win, hands down.

Let's face it, he has genuine appeal and stage presence. I saw pictures of him, I have to keep up because I'm in the business, and truly didn't find him attractive at all. I decided to watch the show and I almost screamed like the teeny boppers. That guy is a superstar!

The girls left me sort of cold. Good voices but not enough appeal. Great idea for a show though.

I want Kelly to win. However, I really think its going to be Justin. Either way, both will be signed to contracts. And I think it may actually be better not to win, since the winner has such a short time to get his/her CD out.

I am glad to see Nikki go, though. I swore last week that I was not going to watch any more since Tamyra was voted off. But I just couldn't help myself.

Anyone getting tired of Dunkleman's black suit???

I understand having a "rough voice" and being cut out for punk or rock or something like that, but thing I could NEVER get past with Nikki is the fact that she SINGS OFF KEY! She is almost always FLAT!

I know "talent" isn't the only factor in this competition, but it amazes me that she made it this far...

I'm cheering for Kelly, but think that Justin will get it due to the teeny-bopper vote.

You guys are too funny! I agree with Justin and his blowing kisses, UGH. And I also agree, that Nikki is almost always off key, and I did not like the Edge of Seventeen at all. Kelly just wows me every time she opens her mouth to sing. Wow. I am curious to see how next week works, 2 hours with 2 singers and the decision being made that night?? Kelly should win, hands down!
