Splitting ressie for same resort?

I want to make a ressie for May 12-19, 2006. May 12,13,14 is Mother's Day weekend. I want to make sure I get a 2bdrm villa(not sure about view yet) at BWV. Should I split the ressie and make one for the first three nights on June 14 and the last four nights on June 19th, or will I be okay just booking the whole shabang on June 19th? What happens when you split your ressie that way? Will we have to change rooms? Never done this before.

If you want to book day by day, that's fine. If you want to book in two pieces that would be fine too. We have tweaked our VWL December trip and in the end added another weekday, after we added on some more points. It all comes under one reservation number, even though we booked it in stages.

Are you worried that you won't be able to keep the same room if you book in stages? Just tell the CM that you'll be calling to add more days, but in our case we didn't even know we would have more points when we began the ressie process.

I hope that answers your question but that's the way I see it happening. We have never booked Mother's Day weekend, and were planning to go then next year.

I recently did a similar thing when reserving Thanksgiving week-booked the first two nights, then waited and booked the other 4 a few days later. It worked out fine-the CM asked me on the first day what the last day of my ressie would be, then whenever I called, I gave the ressie number and they added the nights to it. If you get a ressie # the first day, you should be OK-although, come to think of it, I forgot my ressie # one day, and they just looked it up for me. Now, hopefully when we arrive at OKW in November we'll only have 1 reservation!

No problem--just tell them you will be calling back to make the second part of the reservation on whatever day. This can happen because of weekend situations. I have done it once or twice myself-I remember calling for the first 3 days of a 5 day vacation then calling back on Monday to finish the 5 day. Just be sure and tell them.

If you want a standard view or BW view villa, I'd call daily beginning on the 13th since those views do go quickly. If you want a preferred view (not BW) then you can probably safely make one call on the 20th and get everything.

If calling daily (or in two calls) , as already suggested, just let MS know you will be adding to a reservation and they will keep the reservation open until it's complete. Either way, it will all be one seamless reservation and you will not have to move. By letting MS know with the first call, they can wait and send one confirmation letter for the entire stay- otherwise you'll get a letter for each day you call.
