DH, DD14 and I will be on the DDP for 7 days at the end of October. We plan on eating at a couple of buffets (LTT & 1900 PF) and at other sit town TS restaurants. I know we can't share credits at the buffets but what about the TS places? We have ADRs for 50s Prime Time, Alfredo's, Le Cellier and Rose & Crown. (Also going to WCC, but will use 3 credits for the skillet). If we share two meals between the three of us, we'll have enough credits to also go to the California Grill.

It really seems like too much food for us to order 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and 3 desserts. Has anyone had a problem doing this? Is it a problem if we try?

Thanks

No problems at all. We split at every single restaurant without an issue: Raglan Road, Jiko, Kona, LeCellier, Spoodles, 50's PT, Concourse, Coral Reef were the spots we ate and someone in our party split.

That's a relief. Did you leave extra money for the tip? Thanks for the help. We haven't been there since the DDP started so I'm trying to get a feel for how it works.

Since everyone on your plan is an adult you should have no problem. Some places have reportedly been less than cordial to customers doing this but did not refuse them. I would tip more.

It is appropriate to ensure the total tip (what's included in the Dining Plan, plus what you leave in cash) is about what the server would have gotten if everyone ordered meals.

Yes, we tipped extra. We mistakingly didn't bring dollar bills with us the first day and regretted it; if we didn't have an extra bill to sign off on, we were left without a way to tip extra. If we ordered somethign extra, we could just tack the extra tip onto that but we didn't always do that (or weren't always charged for that extra). So you might want to stick some dollar bills in your pocket for extra tips =)
