I am sure this has been asked so sorry for repeating the question but can DH and I split a meal on the basic dining plan for our TS meals? He is not a big eater most of the time.

Yes, as long as you both are on the DDP you can share ts meals.

Do know, though, that some folks have been noting recently how much more reasonable (i.e., smaller) portions on these days. You might end up hungry.

Regardless, please be sure to give your server and extra gratuity to cover the service provided to the diner not ordering a meal. An extra $3 or so would be enough.

And just have one TS credit deducted or will they deduct 2 TS even though you share one meal?

We are doing the DDP for our first visit in Sept. My dd is 10and therefore has adult TS and CS credits. She will enjoy ordering an adult meal, but in no way will she be able to finish them (most of them, anyway)
If I understand correctly, her and I will be able to order 1 adult meal using one TS credit and we can share it? I thought that they frowned upon sharing TS meals. Are there certain restaurants that do or don't let you do that?
I planned on doing that with some of our CS meals but I had never considered doing it with our TS ones. Thanks for any replies, I am soooo clueless :confused3

As long as both people are on the DDP they do not care if you split a TS meal. My dd10 did this several times in Sept. and also a couple of time just a few weeks ago and never had a problem at any restaurant.

Thanks.I have seen pics of some of the meals and I would not be able to eat them myself so I planned on splitting meals with my dd(if it was allowed) She eats like a bird, so me and her would have no problem sharing and filling ourselves on one meal.

Wow, this is good to know! My dd is 10 (11 when we travel) she likes adult meals, but we can EASILY share and we usually do wherever we go. I think I am going to plan where we will do this at. I might pay OOP for a app or salad also.

You guys are so smart. I am glad to have you all for my imaginary friends.

Thanks for the info.:flower3:

Just wondering if your DD ever ordered off the children's menu at sitdowns. My DD is 10 and will be on the meal plan in May. At some TS locations she will order off the adult menu, but at some places she will want to order off the children's menu. I have considered paying OOP for her at a couple of TS locations and saving a few of the her adult TS credits for DH and I on a couples dinner. Has anyone done this???

Yes, my dd10 wanted to order off the kids menu at a few places. We just paid OOP and save her TS credit. Last month when we were there she ordered off the kids menu at Spoodles, California Grill, and Rose & Crown.

Tipping is a personal experience between those that have and those that seek to have. Your determination should at no point be impacted by those in or above the use of the total sum. At no time should the laws of Physics be violated.
