Splitting it up - The Fort & Thousand Trails

Wondering what everyone's experience is with splitting their vacation into multiple camp grounds. we are thousand trails members so the thought is to camp there as well to save cash on the trip. But we are thinking of adding disney dining (yeah, we know how to abuse it properly), but are wondering how other people have set up their trips for multi-campground stays.

We've done this for 3 years. Spent from Dec 22ish to Jan 2 at TT and moved to The Fort. If we had a choice between more days at The Fort or DDP, we'd pick The Fort. DD isn't what it use to be.

We are TT members also and we are looking at staying at one of the campgrounds in Florida. We have a pop up so could you recommend which one to stay at being close too Disney. We will also stay at FW.

Thousand Trails in Clermont is the closest one to WDW. People did have nice things to say about the one in Wauchula on/near Peace River a couple hours away.

We usually stay at the TT park to do all the things that are non-Disney then move to the Fort for our Disney part of the trip. The TT park is nice we prefer to camp in the back section, some shade but farther from the pool area.

Do you have to be a member to camp at Thousand trails ? We are looking for a more affordable way to stretch our Florida time next winter.

No, they allow guests. The front is open with a few trees. The back is reminiscent of The Fort before the clearing. Maybe even more vegetation.
