Would love some feedback on Splitsville. Do you need to make advanced reservations like dinner reservations? How far in advance if so?
Is there an information link somewhere? Going in March. Thanks!

We ate there on a Saturday night in November after seeing the early Cirque de Soleil show. We were seated right away without reservations; I don't even think they take them.

You can make ADRs at Splitsville for lunch or dinner. It doesn't include bowling - that's a separate sign-up/waiting list.

You can reserve bowling ahead of time on their website under the Party tab. It's much more expensive reserving ahead of time versus just walking up.

I went there on a busy weekend night in October with a friend. We had never been before and were worried we should have made ADRs too, but didn't have any trouble with walking up and being seated/put at an alley right away. The place is pretty self explanatory once you get there, so there's no real need to over-think/plan it. It's overpriced for bowling but it's a nice looking place and as someone who had never enjoyed a game of bowling in her life -- I have been back 3 times because I can't get enough, haha.

Only suggestions I have are to ask to be upstairs (it's a little more spacious) and if you like burgers, to get the juicy lucy. Have fun!

I've been there twice. Both times was on a weekday just before lunch (11:00am). It wasn't crowded at all. We went bowling first and then ate lunch afterwards. Unless you are going on a Friday/Saturday night, I don't think you would need an ADR.

Agree with the previous posters, this is one of the few times you can "live on the edge" without locked-down reservations during your Disney trip! We went there at the start of our DTD visit, so that we'd have plenty to do if there was a long wait, but when I walked up, they told me there wasn't a wait right then, and wouldn't be over the next few hours, so we could do DTD first if we preferred.

It is "just bowling" and very expensive bowling, but still we had a great time (in fact my oldest said this was the highlight of the trip for him, and wanted to go back the next day). It's a fun atmosphere.

We've eaten at Splitsville twice, once with bowling the other time just for lunch.

Food-wise we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of menu choices and the quality of the food was actually pretty good. Don't think of this as typical bowling alley food.

Bowling was a lot of fun (well at least for a once or twice a year bowler who doesn't take it serious) and I thought the price was OK. We went there early (11 am I think) and got a really good early bird deal on the bowling.

I'd do it again.

I see you're very serious about your bowling! Yes you can and should eat while bowling, to avoid missing out on that rare eating-while-playing-a-sport (no air quotes around sport) opportunity.

We thought the food was pretty good, definitely not standard bowling alley fare

Yes, with or without an ADR you can eat while you bowl. Please don't confuse the bowling ball with that slice of pizza.

If the weather is nice you can ask for seating in the outdoor patio on the second floor. Great place to people watch.

I like their pizza, and it's reasonably priced.

There is an early bird discount available for bowling from 10:30 until noon.

If you go to their website and choose the Orlando location, there is a scrolling window on the left that lists all the prices. If it's not scrolling on it's own try clicking the arrows to get it to move. Ranges anywhere from $8-20/person depending on time of day, weekend or weekday, and the amount of time you get depends on how many people are in your party. We reserved priority bowling last year and felt it was worth it because the place was packed. We went at night, it was $125/hour, and we were able to eat and bowl at the same time. They have great sushi! For priority bowling they e-mail you a form which you complete and fax back with a CC# to hold your reservation. It doesn't guarantee you'll get a lane right when you get there, but you will be next in line.

You are paying for time on the lane, not games. So depending on how much bowling you want to do, it might be best to eat after. IDK, I like to get my moneys worth so I would wait, but you can eat while others are bowling too.

I have never had to have a reservation there and always just walk up with no wait about 5 times eating there. Pizza and burgers are all good.

And when I was there, the "bowling" time INCLUDES the time spent looking for appropriate balls for your party.

I was wondering WHY so many people were picking out their balls before their names were called to go to their lane. Then I found out why, it could take10 minutes to get settled, that is 10 minutes of bowling you paid for and did not use. And it will probably take awhile to find the lighter weight balls, with fingers big enough for someone with fingers more than pencil width in diameter.

I liked the way the bumpers of up and down for different people in the group, my special needs adult son needs them. We had problems with very slippery lanes, but I assume this was an isolated problem that day (we were upstairs, and other people were slipping too, on nearby lanes. I asked about it, and got a shrug in response. It was bad enough that I would get 8/9 pins, and then the next frame throw a gutter ball, which is not normal for me) Lastly, a warning, the approach is shorter than normal, so you can't do your usual # of steps to throw the ball.

We had a nice time, we went shortly after opening on a day when rain was expected. We did eat while we bowled, it was just me and DS, who is special needs, so he had a great time of course.
