Split Stay (YC/Swan) Magical Express Question

We are looking at a split stay between Swan (3 nights) and Yacht Club (4 nights)this August. We are flexible about which resort to stay at first. My question is:

Can we do Yacht Club first, taking Magical Express, then switch to Swan after 4 nights, and then take Magical Express (from the Yacht Club) on a different day than our Yacht Club check out day??

Or, would we just need to book a Mears shuttle from Swan to airport on check out eve?

Just wondering if we can save that $70! Thanks!

Nope. You have to be staying at a Disney resort to use ME. And you have to use it from the resort at which you are staying. You will not be staying at an official Disney resort at the end of your vacation, so no ME for you.

I really wish Disney would add the Swan and Dolphin to the ME line!

I'm guessing that might be as much of an issue with the Swan/Dolphin being willing to pay to participate in DME than with anything Disney may or may not be willing to do. It certainly could be a combination of both.

You can take DME to the YC then you can have YC move your bags to the Swan on checkout/check in day. Unfortunately you can not take DME back to the airport on the day you check out of the Dolphin as your YC stay will have expired.

Mears shuttle will take you (IIRC $19 pp) and a town car will be about 60 plus tip.
