Split Stay - Same Resort

Hello all!

This is our first time doing a split stay as DVCers and wanted to know how perishable food may be handled if we are not changing resorts. We'll be moving from a one bedroom to a two bedroom when my parents join us, all at Riviera. Will bell services take perishable items until our 2 bedroom is ready? TIA!

If you're not changing resorts, Bell will certainly hold your bags and also offer cold storage at the resort for the perishables. You'll just need to have those items marked for refrigeration. The one thing they will no longer do is travel from one resort to another with cold items. But if you take the cold items to bell to hold at Riv, they'll do that for you in their refrigerater. Then when your room is ready, you can pick up your items, or call to have them delivered. Enjoy the trip!

Yes, as PP says, just package the cold items separately from the rest of your luggage and mark them clearly as needing refrigeration or needing freezing. I'd probably drop them off myself so that I could point out which is which. Bell Services will store them appropriately. When you get your new room, you can either pick everything up yourself or call from the room to have BS bring it to you. No matter which, remind them that you have items in cold storage as well as regular luggage.
