split stay ?'s

Does anyone know how MS will handle this one:

DH and I had a stay booked at BLT 10/1-10/5. We waitlisted 10/6 & 10/7 which still hasn't come through (and I honestly don't think it's going to).

In the meantime, I made a confirmed ressie for a HH studio at OKW for 10/6 (the 7th wasn't available) and received a separate confirmation number. I didn't want to waitlist 10/7 at OKW.

I checked the website a couple of days later and lo and behold a HH studio was no available for 10/7 which I snatched up. So now I have yet another reservation number.

I realize that I will have two different reservation numbers for BLT and OKW but will MS be able to merge the two ressies into one or do we need to check out and then check back in?

Will it be a simple phone call to MS to figure this out?

MS can link reservations if they are for the same resort/room size/view. Once linked, the resort sees it as a continuing stay and you won't have to check out and then back in.

Give MS a call and they will take care of linking the two OKW nights. I did the same thing this past week-found the night I need online to match the other two nights. Booked it and then called the next day.

MS put me on hold and ended up putting all 3 nights under the same reservation number so no change of having to move rooms or check in/out.

Use your split stay as a opportunity to buy the DDP for just part of your stay.

We actually plan to that already!

We do a lot of split stays. I just never had consecutive nights in the same category at the same resort with two different reservation numbers or if I did, I never noticed it because it wasn't online.

question... we are booked at POR 08-25 to 09-02.... my daughter will be going with her dad for 2 weeks before so me and the boyfriend decided to go for 2 days by ourselves. we want to stay at POR in the same room and dont want to touch the existing reserevation so not to lose our free dining. how will that work if i have another reservation?? will they let us stay in the room we are in or do i have to check in and check out again?? our other thougth was to jus stay somewhere else for 2 nights...so confused ..help!!!
