split stay question

I have POP Century booked in December and am looking to add a couple nights before it, there is no availability at POP so I will have to book a different resort, probably CSR just because it's for my kiddo's birthday and he likes the look of that one. We wouldn't be getting park tickets for the first stay, just two nights at the hotel (and maybe a Christmas Party/After Hours event should that happen). Then we'll switch to POP and stay for 8 nights, with tickets. I'm booking as a package so I don't have to pay for the tickets separately and also just in case something happens and we can't go, I'm not stuck with tickets I can't use that aren't refundable.

Do we have to check in to POP in order to use the tickets or will we be able to go directly to the parks that morning?

I know we can have Bell services transfer our bags, but we could also just Uber or something over if we need to. We're in Canada so we always have to stop at the desk to check in (though perhaps that has changed now, we haven't been in two years). I'm sure we'll be a little sad to move from a moderate to a value, but availability in December is really low and expensive. We normally go the end of August so this will be a big change (and I'm guessing not as hot, so probably also not going to need waterpark tickets). Looking forward to the Christmas stuff and decorations any way! And travelling... can't wait to do that again.

WOW it's like we are on the same schedule. I also booked POP for December and when I went back to add days to the beginning of my stay POP wasn't available. I ended up booking at CSR as well. In my case it ended up being 2 different packages with different confirmation numbers. I would venture to guess the package with your tickets will show the start date for the tickets. You don't need to check in at POP first. Plus you can check in online using MDE early. Not sure why guests from Canada have to stop by the front desk. Hope it all goes smoothly for you!

We Canadians have to stop at the front desk to pick up our magic bands if we have ordered them ahead of time. Other than that I believe we can use MDE for check in. lol

We will be there early December as well. We have 2 nights booked at Royal Pacific then over to Wilderness Lodge for 1 night and OKW (we rented points) for the remainder of our 8 night stay.

We've never stayed at any of these resorts so I am super excited!
